16.01.2022 In light of recent events and the Corona Virus recommendations the association has met to discuss the Grand Final Day this weekend. At this stage we are going t...o proceed with this weekends games. These games are going to be scheduled with as much room between the games as possible. This will mean use of the outlying diamonds. If you are feeling unwell please refrain from attending this weekend. Pursuant to Qld Gov regulations, if you don’t need to be at the grounds please don’t attend. Whilst having a large group to support our teams playing would be great, at this time we would ask that spectators consider whether to attend. On diamond recommendations, no pregame meetings or shaking of hands. At the completion of the game there will be no walk throughs and shaking of hands. Thanks should be extended from your cheer position near your dugout. Presentations will be at the diamond with the only exception being Rookie Ball on Dia 2. There will be no gold coin collection, no raffle and the BBQ is not occurring. Under 14 State Championships are postponed at this stage and will be rescheduled at a later date. SQI will have more info very shortly. Yours in Sport Mitchell Crawford President.

11.01.2022 Hi people, here is a memo from the powers to be. Good Morning Update on the wearing of masks: Mitch (our COVID Officer) has asked that we enforce masks external to the diamond for everyone over the age of 12.... Our apologies that this is different to what has previously been advertised. This means for our spectators etc. We are also reminded about how we are to dispose of the masks; in a sealed bag prior to placing in a bin. It may possibly be a good idea to leave the grounds after you have played your game if you are unable to wear a face mask comfortably. The Committee realise that it seems extreme, but it is better to be safe than sick. If you have any queries about any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact me. Christine Denkel
