12.01.2022 Goodness - its ATSA time already?! Im honoured to be presenting two sessions again this year (my 6th yr...) - one for health profs on Tuesday - and one for consumers on Wednesday. Check out the clinical programme - there are some awesome presentations in three streams over the two days...and its all free! This last year has been packed with learning experiences for me: a book chapter to be published in Sept, some clinical practice guidelines for the NSW gov - and enough c...onference presentations to have my accountant questioning my sanity... Creating next weeks presentations is a good opportunity to condense all that learning into something useful and practical and easy to digest. Thats the plan :-) Looking forward to seeing those of you attending ATSA next week! Stay tuned for ATSA updates...

12.01.2022 Upcoming training for the Independent Living Centre. Hope to see you there! :-)

10.01.2022 With many thanks to the wonderful folks at Seating Dynamics, OTSOTS is pleased to have an Intimate Rider available to see if it may assist you (or someone you know). If you havent heard of one, (and no - its not the Clint Eastwood movie...), have a look here: http://www.intimaterider.com/

09.01.2022 Two presentations for ATSAs Independent Living Expo in Sydney this year - both really well attended and lots of good questions and positive feedback at the end. I love this aspect of my work: encouraging people to think... Ive been attending this for quite a few years now, partly in an effort to get equipment suppliers to think a little more broadly too. This year, Mr ATSA himself (Chris Sparks) introduced me to Mr (managing director of) Aidacare - a large eastern states... based equipment supplier. Mr Aidacaire offered to pay part of my costs to attend the expo next year in Melbourne! How awesome... I would like to tag both of these gentlemen, however am unable to from my phone. If you know them, or Aidacaire, please take the time to thank them for their awesomeness :-) Now for a day of sightseeing in Sydney before returning west. N See more

02.01.2022 Where does the year go?! Just letting you know that in addition to the conference presenting (I know - Im a broken record regarding addressing sexual expression in healthcare, but really - we can do it better...) I have continued to see folks who are experiencing challenges with sexual expression due to illness and disability, to assist with problem solving and exploring options that may help. If you or anyone you know are facing challenges in this area, please drop me a me...ssage. Im happy to chat about whether I may have anything useful to offer - or point you in the direction of someone who may be able to assist. Btw: if youre interested in Acquired Brain Injury and will be in Melbourne in October, I will be presenting as part of a panel about ABI and sexual expression - and would love to see you :-) https://www.informa.com.au//national-acquired-brain-injur/ Cheers Narelle See more
