23.01.2022 The Great Wall of China - enough said!

21.01.2022 The Bay Run - A 7 kilometre shared walk and cycleway around Iron Cove in Sydney's Inner Western Suburbs. Very popular with great views, well maintained parks and few cafes along the way.

21.01.2022 Found a nice spot by the river. Got the place all to ourselves except for a few hundred flies.

11.01.2022 A good motivation for a weekend away.

08.01.2022 My room with a view. Hennessy Deep Jungle Asym. A great nights sleep by the river. Just me and the possums.

07.01.2022 Went to visit the Great Stupa just outside Bendigo this morning. It’s still under construction but you can already see what a wonderful monument it will become. The gardens are being established and are fillies with statues and prayer wheels. Will visit again and follow the progress of this site. @ Great Stupa of Universal Compassion

06.01.2022 Warrumbungle National Park - North West New South Wales. The site of an ancient volcano this has to be one of the worlds natural treasures! About 7 hours drive north west of Sydney the reward is an instant feeling of peace and serenity. The massive mountains and rugged landscape provide unimaginable opportunities for hiking, camping or just relaxing in nature. Recently declared Australia's first Dark Sky Park the region is leading the way in minimising light pollution which ...has a detrimental impact on wildlife as well as ourselves! Ravaged by bushfires a few years ago - the area is bouncing back rapidly with new growth and plenty of wildlife.

03.01.2022 A walk to the Gosford hieroglyphs, ancient Egyptian symbols carved into the rocks at Kariong in the Brisbane Waters National Park 10 mins out of Gosford. #outwalking #hieroglyphs #gosford #visitnsw #newsouthwales

03.01.2022 I'm so proud of Rai, she stayed a whole week at camp by herself while I headed back home to take care of a few things back there. I arrived back on site late yesterday afternoon while she was out and everything was in great shape. Considering the amount of wind and rain we have had lately I was afraid she might have had to take refuge in the car. I always fret when I leave Rai behind because there are a lot of manual tasks around the campsite that I usually take on, keeping ...the ropes tight, managing the camp fire and stuff like that. Rai was quick to demonstrate her new found independence last night and made me sit and watch as she set about preparing for the storm we were expecting. I still get to make the coffee though :)

02.01.2022 Rai found a new friend at the Stockman’s Hall of Fame. #outwalking #longreach

02.01.2022 Rock hoping at Somersby Fals - Brisbane Water National Park Had a great afternoon scrambling over the rocks at Somersby Falls today. Getting under the canopy was a thankful relief from the 34C summer sun. The Falls are a well known picnic spot and very well maintained with tables and chairs in some shady grassed areas. A couple of short walks make it easy to get to the sunny rock platforms where you can sit and bathe if you like.... For the adventurous hearts you can continue on down the creek and discover much more but be careful it gets a bit slippery and accidents are well documented in the local news archives.
