22.01.2022 1080 Fox Bait Poison Warning Falls Creek Resort Management have advised that summer fox baiting will begin from October 20th through until May 31st 2021. This will be conducted within the Falls Creek Alpine Resort, and baits will be laid along vehicle tracks, walking tracks and access routes within the off-limit areas in which domestic dogs are prohibited within the resort. This includes the Mt McKay areas west of Road 24 and Road 26; the Summit, Frying Pan Spur and Ruined Castle areas; and any designated mountain bike trails (refer to attached map). 1080 is a harmful substance if ingested by animals including dogs. 11.01.2022 Meet the team Dr Keely- I am one of the new vets at Ovens and Kiewa. I moved to Myrtleford from Western Australia at the start of the year to pursue my dream of working in a truely mixed practice where I can work with a large range of species. I love mixed practice for the fact that you never know what is going to walk in the door! From my photo you can see that my true passion is cattle and livestock, I love working along side producers. However I also love working with all of your pets, big and small and have a keen interest in surgery and emergency work.

06.01.2022 Meet Clydie, an 18 year old Clydesdale who saw Dr Keely for a scab on his nose. It was suspected that this may be a type of skin cancer which is worsened by exposure to the sun. A squamous cell carcinoma was confirmed by removing the scab for sampling, it was then advised to freeze the area with liquid nitrogen to try and remove as much of the tumour as possible. 01.01.2022 Meet the team Keeley - I am currently working as a Veterinary Nurse in Ovens and Kiewa vets and Dr Paws Wangaratta. I have been nursing on and off for the last 8 years, working in a broad range of clinics from rural practices in regional Victoria and NSW to emergency centres in Melbourne and Albury/Wodonga. I have finished my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2018 and in 2019 I became a registered Veterinary Nurse and completed a short course in emergency nursing. I live in Wangaratta with my partner and our 7 year old cat Amelia. In my free time I like to travel and watch movies.
