25.01.2022 Four years ago I embarked on a new phase in my life running a small business that I honestly knew nothing about. Fortunately with the support of my customers I learnt how to run this little business and to employ a number of people over the journey. Now just a month short of my 4th year anniversary tomorrow Monday 23 March will be the last time that I can open my doors until who knows when.... Just 2 or 3 months ago none of us could imagine the impact of Covid 19. Yet now we are all coming to grips with this new reality. I really hope that once this disaster is over that I can re-open the doors, however, at this time I'm not optimistic. This will be my last post for who knows when. So before I finish I would like to thank all of my loyal customers and thank you for your support. I hope you all stay fit and healthy and weather this storm. To my beautiful friend and tireless worker Kate, thank you for keeping me sane, making me laugh every day and enjoy coming to work each and every day for the last 20 months. Let's both hope that we are back at work very very soon.

16.01.2022 OVERALL TUCKER IS NOW CLOSED The hardest decision of my life. Whilst this will affect all of my great customers I can't, in good conscience, continue to run a business that puts all of us at risk.... It would only take one interaction in my shop with an (unknown and un- diagnosed) infected person for my shop to shut the whole of Echuca down. So for your safety and your family and friends I will say farewell for now.

11.01.2022 I promised myself that I would remain silent, however I just couldn't help myself. Sadly less than 6 weeks ago we were acting like (what I believe) are true Aussies, wherever and however, we were doing what we could do to help the unfortunate people affected by the bushfires. And now I can't even buy the necessities I need to keep my tiny business afloat with basic things such as mincemeat so that I can make my absolutelty to die for hamburgers - just my opinion !!! ... We live in a relatively small town where the major retailers such as Woolies, Coles & Aldi have scaled there businesses to meet our needs. Now we are being invaded by busloads eager to fill their freezers with whatever they can lay their hands on. No-one is to blame for the panic that has set in. However let's make sure that wherever we can, that we all support our local businesses. They are the lifeblood of our town. They all employ your Friends, Brothers, Sisters, Mums, Dads, Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents and local people. So whether it's Overall Tucker or your local shop, drop in and buy some smoko, lunch, a drink or whatever they might sell. You just don't know, that sometimes it might be enough to keep that businesses doors open for another day or two. Finally to all of my customers who continue to support my little business, Thank you from both Kate and myself for keeping us working - we love it !!!

05.01.2022 OVERALL TUCKER IS STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS AS USUAL So it seems that I am now considered an essential business, so our Premier says !!! Seems that the only NON ESSENTIAL businesses are Hotels, Bars, Clubs, Gyms and a few others. So until our elected representatives tell me otherwise I will remain open.... Just one question though. When will our elected representatives stop playing politics and start answering questions in simple language and with honesty.
