23.01.2022 Dear loyal friends of Oscar & Wild It is with great sadness that we share the following news. In the early hours of this morning (Monday 8 June) our Camberwell Oscar & Wild boutique was broken into and burgled. A large boulder was used to violently smash the glass frontage the impact so strong that glass was found on the far end of the store. The entire store was then ransacked of brand new season stock - our beautiful O&W is now virtually empty. There is no doubt that this... was a planned operation, the perpetrators knew exactly what to take. It is estimated that we have lost upwards of $80K worth of stock. Unfortunately we are only insured for a tokenistic sum, which is more relevant to a ‘snatch and run’ scenario. The impact of this robbery is devastating and the livelihood of our Camberwell store is now in question. At this stage we are unsure when, or if, we will be able to resume business. As most of you are aware, the Oscar & Wild boutiques are a small business and the result of 15 years of blood, sweat and tears. We adore our customers and pride ourselves in brightening up their day. We cannot comprehend the maliciousness of this act. We ask that you help us get word out so that the cowards that committed this crime will be brought to justice. Please share this post.
