22.01.2022 Another great service. #reading #clickandcollect
22.01.2022 This is huge news. This project is something we as Golden Plains have also advocated for. Many people in the south of our shire will be able to travel to this location faster than a lot of Geelong residents. Well done to the COGG!
22.01.2022 Great to be asked to make a presentation to Ballarat University students today regarding some of the challenges presented to Peri Urban councils like Golden Plains Shire.

18.01.2022 It has been a pleasure to have represented and championed for the Golden Plains over the past 4 years, I wish to take this gained experience to help further guide our communities vision and help mentor the next council. #vote1 #votediversity #lovegoldenplains
18.01.2022 It is so encouraging to see the numbers significantly reducing each week due to people doing the right things. Well done To regional Victoria and now the Melbourne average is dropping. It is so important to continue doing the right thing. Unfortunately for us candidates this means not been able to get out and proactively meet residents at public locations or go door knocking. Most candidates have all their details online so feel free to call them and myself.
18.01.2022 When voting in local government I believe DIVERSITY is extremely important. Having councils that represent the thoughts of different sectors and communities is importance. One of the unique aspects of having an unsubdivide boundaries is that you have the opportunity to vote for 7 candidates. I believe a strong council is one that represents GENDER - LOCATIONS - CITY - FARMERS - VARYING AGES - CULTURES #VOTE1 #diversity #goldenplains
17.01.2022 Tune in to listen to all candidates put forward their issues and answer questions from residents and ratepayers.
16.01.2022 Very proud to have been sworn back into council to represent the people of the Golden Plains Shire. Given it was NAIDOC week I went and bought an aboriginal tie for the occasion, as a way to acknowledge our traditional owners. I was disappointed and expressed to the organisation that an aboriginal flag should also be on display during our meeting. Hopefully we will see one at our next meeting. ... #alwayswasalwayswillbe
15.01.2022 Very proud to have last week put forward a resolution that maintains our financial commitment to the Covid Hardship policy. I spoke of how I personally would like the conversation to also move towards 'recovery' and acknowledge some of the other 'hardships' that community members are going through other than just business and financial issues. The past year has presented many challenges to particularly our youth and elderly within our shire. It is my hope that these funds can help in addressing some of these issues over the coming year. #hardship #covid #mentalheath #wellbeing #financialassistance #helpingthosethatneedit
15.01.2022 Thank you Andy Meddick MP for attending a meeting at Batesford to discuss to rising concern of animals being killed on our roads. It was great to discuss several different options that are available to us and hopefully we can work towards achieving less accidents and deaths. Thank you to community leaders Felicity and Peter for attending at short notice.

11.01.2022 During our public consultation to create the Golden Plains Shire Community Vision 2040 last year, residents told us that they valued Community, Liveability, Prosperity and Sustainability. In our Draft Council Plan, we’ve set out a number of objectives in the sustainability space, including mitigating climate change and promoting clean green technology. This afternoons session is a great example of how we are committing to our vision. ... #solar #partnership Geelong Sustainability Golden Plains Shire Council See more
11.01.2022 Over the past 4 years I have answered every phone call, email, text and social media tag. Covid has changed the way in which we as councillors can campaign but that just means we have to use the means available to us. Please feel free to send me a message/email and I shall send through the link details to ask questions. 10.01.2022 It has been a great pleasure to serve on council the last 4 years with the Deputy Mayor Joanne Gilbert. It takes me just over an hour to drive to Cr Gilbert home which shows the huge size our our shire from South to North. #happybirthday #greatrepresentative
