23.01.2022 A series of shots I took of the lunar eclipse while I was in Japan last year. The weather wasn't looking good on the days leading up to it, so I was over the moon (yes, that pun was intended) to get a clear sky on the day of this blood moon! I have always been fascinated by astronomy (not to be confused with astrology) and to able to witness this lunar tetrad (set of 4 lunar eclipses in a row) was amazing. And to be able to get decent shots of it was just icing on the cake! Taken at Takarazuka, in Hyogo, Japan

20.01.2022 Well, after a LONG break from Facebook, I'm back! Although I've been away for a while, rest assured I have not been absent from capturing more fine art panoramic images of the Sunshine Coast. These will be on display for you all shortly. Before I get into that, let me show what has been going on in my life over the last several months ... and maybe you will understand why I have taken time off anything social! Introducing Isla Lin Vagg! Born October 26th, 2016. Our third beautiful blessing and bundle of pure joy!

19.01.2022 An amazing sunset sky over the beautiful Mount Coolum. What I love about this area is its rich history and deep connection to the Aboriginal people. The Aboriginals named the mountain 'Kulum', meaning 'blunt' or 'headless', due to the peakless shape of the mountain. Legend says that Ninderry knocked off Kulum's head and it fell into the ocean, creating Madjimba Island. This place is steeped in natural beauty and yet is not overpopulated, making it quiet and peaceful. This makes Coolum a pretty special place and is without a doubt one of my favourite areas on the Sunshine Coast. 17.01.2022 Here's something a little different. This was the latest panorama I took while I was in Japan. Taken in Umeda, Osaka, while on my way to a dinner with some colleagues. I thought I would arrive early to get some nice photos of the cityscape around Osaka city. Needless to say, when the sun began to set, I was quite late for my appointment. But with a sunset like that, can you blame me! This photo was beautifully timed as the sky lit up with amazing fiery colours and the sun was setting behind the Umeda Sky Building. This panorama was one of my most popular with locals and tourists alike. Taken at Umeda, in Osaka Japan.

14.01.2022 A lovely, peaceful morning's sunrise captured at Coolum Beach. The sky was on fire as the sun began to peek from behind the rocks signaling the beginning of a new day. It's not often I get to enjoy a sunrise quite like this, so I savoured the peace and quiet only moments before the world awoke! I have ventured out to Coolum on several occasions to capture the beautiful scenery, but there is so much more to offer in this uniquely stunning location. 14.01.2022 I just want to say Happy Anniversary to my beautiful wife, Sumiyo! I cannot believe it's been 9 years (and 1 day) already. I am so grateful for the love and support you have shown me over the years, and I can't wait to dive head-first into another wonderful year with you! I love you so much and I thank God for you always.

08.01.2022 After numerous evenings spent down at Maroochy River waiting for the right conditions, I can finally present my latest panorama of the Maroochy river and the lonely boathouse stretching out onto the peaceful waters. I'm especially proud of this photo capturing both an amazing sunset sky and the calm glassy waters of the Maroochy river. These boathouses can be found at various spots along the river and are perfect for the creative photographer or those of you looking for a lovely spot to watch an amazing sunset ... like this one! 08.01.2022 Here's something from a little further South of the Sunshine Coast. From a small town near where I grew up called Wauchope in New South Wales, this is a capture of the Hasting River railway bridge at sunset. Notice the fog on the river, the light beaming through the trees and, of course, the amazing colours in the sky. This place is very special to me, and holds many childhood memories. I often used to go to a park with my family just the other side of the bridge for picnics after church, and I still have vivid memories of sliding down the bank on cardboard with my brothers! This place will always be very special to me and this photo is a perfect reminder of my days growing up in Wauchope. Taken at Wauchope, in New South Wales, Australia.

05.01.2022 Venturing out to Noosa National Park, I snapped this panorama looking over Tea Tree Bay as the sun was setting. Such a beautiful spot to escape the tourist frenzy of Noosa, and a particularly popular spot for surfers ... usually. I took this very same shot many years ago when this fallen tree was still standing, providing a perfect frame for the photo. It's really sad to see this beautiful pandanus tree in it's final resting place on the rocks of Tea Tree Bay. Taken at Tea Tree Bay, in Noosa.
