23.01.2022 So, I have a problem, we are selling tickets to ghosted really fast and I want my friends to come and see this play its only on for 1 weekend so you will have to book now. MAY 30th Mikey Thebridge and I have been working on this since October last year and its really coming along nicely I can guarantee you wont be bored and will laugh at least once Woop. 23.01.2022 Hey guys - the band is back together.... yep Guys, Ive been lucky enough to be collaborating - with the super talented Mikey Thebridge since October 2018, (he wrote After party- hes an amazing writer - it was the Christmas play about the advertising agency... ) anyways, it was great and we had such fun working together.. that we decided to do it again!!!! We now have a sparkly new comedy to entertain ya'll with.. Micheal wrote it. Im directing. ghosted Its about a h...ook up the goes terribly wrong when one tries to ghost the other and ends up getting hit and killed by the escape uber- Now Olivers stuck with the ghost of a bad decision stuck in his apartment and in desperate need of a way to get them out. The sooner the better, too. Turns out a ghost who does nothing but binge-watch TV is bad for your sanity and even worse for your power bill. Pop art and poltergeists collide in this brand-new Australian comedy thats bursting with colour and will leave you dying of laughter. Not literally. Im also delighted to share with you that some of my regular collaborators are working with us again on this project. Matt Brown on music composition / sound design. Izzy Summers has flown back from london to assistant direct with me! My resident actor from the The Owl and Cat Theatre Jayden Popik is back, and Holly Chadwick (killers) has come back from Hong Kong to tell this story with us too. We are also thrilled to be working with some new talented and incredible artists, Max Meaden who is so loveable its hard to comprehend. Kostas Moutsoulas & Ian Hart as well as the incredibly talented Kate Lister who is currently on air in TV's new show Bad Moms!! Aimee Coleman is a new addition for me personally but an old fiend and colleague of Mikeys - she is our production manager and making sure everything is slick and all my weaknesses have now become the trams strengths- Thankyou!! Finally but not least-ly Brendan Coppa is on board as our stage manager- we have wanted to work together for some time and he has helped with the closing and storage of the theatre equipment more than any other person. 22.01.2022 POSITION OPEN @ FRESH - THEATRE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE 'Theatre Assistant' - Elsternwick. *please email me directly if your interested as I will be Artistic Director for this season at Elsternwick, [email protected]... The Elsternwick Fresh theatre is on the hunt for a theatre assistant for this season.. the successful applicant will help with rehearsals + workshops on Wednesdays 4- 6pm (5 kids in the group will be producing a play with your help along with Chloe and Dustin - the resident directors) starting in AUGUST 2018 for 12 - 14 weeks - (some breaks in school holidays) - You will also help out during production week. Fresh is a very rewarding company to work for + this position is great skill development for the right theatre person. 21.01.2022 Massive cheers to Jayden Popik just been cast in Queensland Theatres newest play Mouthpiece yeeeees seeee government.... without the independent sector for the much neeeded development of performance skills these professional career advancements simply wont happen. We need more indie theatres that have freedom to create the work they want and the financial support for them. 05.01.2022 S C R I P T S U B M I S S I O N S for 'First Draught' a cold reading event for new original works to be held Sunday 1st October at 8pm First Draught is the resurrection and reincarnation of the long running and successful monthly script reading event Cold Readings. The monthly event gives an opportunity to screenwriters to have their work read aloud in front of a live audience by actors. It also gives an opportunity to the writer to gauge audience reaction, assess the f...low of dialogue and receive some constructive criticism. First Draught encourages actors, writers, directors and anyone interested in such endeavours to get together for a drink, a chat and a read, and the possibility of collaboration. Script submissions can be of varying platforms and include Theatre, film, series, animation and monologues intended for stage. Selected scripts will be read by actors chosen for roles on the night and depending on size may be read on the night in their entirety or in segments throughout the year.
