20.01.2022 I'm sure I feel as like everyone at the moment that every time you turn on the radio or TV your inundated with negative news. So much media about the Coronavirus and each day more of the same. However I watched this report a couple of days ago and thought I'd share with you. I felt it made alot of sense from a very well respected professor at QLD university, Prof Ian Frazer. He was Australian of the year and was the researcher that developed the vaccine for cervical cancer. H...e is a expert virologist. So if we should be taking on board any advise, take it from someone that comes with the credentials and reputation. The main point I got from this is 1. Most of us are going to get this bug, but its really about slowing it down so the hospitals can cope with the really sick and a vaccine to be out in the market. The other point is to just adhere to the current practices of hand washing, covering your mouth when you cough and keep your distance. In many respects its good hygiene practices. There's no need to hoard food, there's plenty for everyone. Keep a good mental health regime , call friends, read a good book, take up a new hobby, learn a language online, anything that makes you feel good and positive. This iformation is current as at 26th April 2020. WoW = changes in volumes transacted from current 7 day period Vs prior 7 day period SWLY = changes in volumes transacted from current 7 day period Vs same period prior year MoM = Changes in th ecurrent 28 day period Vs prior 28 day period SMLY = Changes in current 28 day period... Vs same period prior year YTD YoY = Changes in volumes transacted for the current calender year through to current week Vs the same period in the prior calender year. What the graphs show is that theres typical activity from January through to mid March which we see most years, as the restrictions for COVID -19 were imposed theres a dip in sales activity from around mid March to early April 2020. However the activity increases and infact for the same period of the previous year increases. You will also see that construction is up also. Low interest rates have a positive impact on people getting into the market, locking in the low rates for 1, 3 or 5 years.
