25.01.2022 I guess realising how much money goes to renting a year it could be going to our own home. Being in a rental environment we felt Like we couldn’t do anything, hang my pictures, get another dog, and not having to move so frequently. Moving into my own house I can do all those things I can’t in a rental, getting a new lounge, start having our family, it’s an amazing feeling knowing this is our asset that we worked for. 09.01.2022 We were sick of paying rent to pay off someone else’s mortgage. Tired of having to ask permission to put a hook on the wall, or change the tiniest little thing- forget being able to paint the walls a colour we wanted. Don’t even get me started on the inconvenience of rental inspections, or worst those sneaky letters in the mail saying your rent is going up again. As much we wanted to own our own home, the idea of saving a deposit seemed impossible and out of reach. When COVI...D hit, we knew that we would have to give up our overseas adventures, at least for a little while. So we decided to look into options to try and buy, thinking it would take us 2-3 year minimum at least. Own a home were fantastic. They made the process so much easier then we could have imagined. Some mortgage brokers and banks told us to come back when we had at least 80k, and to be honest made us feel like weren’t worth the time of day because we didn’t have a huge amount of savings.
