07.01.2022 Hello Everyone, Social distancing and self isolation are going to leave many people with a feeling and sense of loneliness which can create anxiety and depression, particularly those that are elderly and hospitalised. We also have so many health workers that are working tough. If you have young children at home or teenagers and are looking for an activity for them to do that will bring a smile to someone’s face I am asking that you get them to write a letter and draw a pictu...re or create an Easter card that can be delivered to those in hospital,aged care and our health care workers -something to read, something to place on their wall something to bring the outside world in, something to help make people smile Take this time to teach your child how to write a letter, have them think about what they’ve been learning at school about capital letters and punctuation. Have them share with their letter recipient information about their pets, sports they play, hobbies they have, holidays they’re been on , their favourite book, favourite show, favourite colour, favourite food- have them draw a picture that can be placed on a wall to bring a smile to everyone’s face. If you would like to teach another skill, talk about labelling - have your child label different parts of their drawing with a word and an arrow. Mindful colouring books are also a great way to spend time and create a beautiful pictures to send. The Strathfieldsaye Post Office have kindly offered to collect the letters where I will then collect them, wait 24 hours and then distribute them. 04.01.2022 Strathfieldsaye post office like all across Australia is open happy to help our customers wherever we can. Post have implemented some rules such as no customer can handle the parcel scanner, we will sign on your behalf. Our delivery drivers are doing a great job delivering around Strathfieldsaye but once again, signing for customer at their door.
