17.01.2022 "The winning feeling is indescribable. You try keep a lid on it but when you see your horse looking a chance to win the excitement is too much to keep in," says part-owner Jeremy Blab who part-owns the talented filly Chantorque. "People think it's a rich man's game and you have to be wealthy and spend a lot of money which is not the case at all." The story behind the syndicate and Chantorque is much more about loyalty than luck after trainer Russell Stewart provided the synd...icate with the option to purchase into the filly after paying up for a few slow horses. Fellow part-owner Daniel Delborrello said Russell had felt bad the syndicate of mostly first-time owners had a non-enjoyable experience with their horse. "He ran last by 20 lengths and even the commentator said he had called it quits at the 400m mark," said Daniel. "Since being involved in Chantorque I have won all my money back and that winning feeling, well that's just awesome." Fellow part-owner and strapper James Stewart was thrilled to enjoy a winner at Ascot with his family and says the percentage of your share doesn't make winning any less exciting. "Racehorse ownership is the best thing you can experience and all you need is a small share to enjoy the good times," said James. "We have about 35 owners in Chantorque and they all enjoy a day at the races with their mates." The following timeslots to access The Vantage will apply to all owners with a horse racing tomorrow at Ascot. During the TABtouch Masters we are extending the timeslot for owners with a horse contesting the three Group 1 races to allow them to remain in The Vantage until close. As such, owners with a horse in Race 10 will have access to The Vantage between Races 1 ...to 5 on the program. Alternatively, owners may redeem their complimentary drink at the Mumm Bar located inside the Bookies Pavilion. To ensure you have the best experience possible, please have your QR code ready to be scanned prior to arriving to The Vantage.
