23.01.2022 #doingweekendsdifferently With so many restrictions of what we can and can’t do in our current social distancing scenario, what are you doing differently on weekends to how you did pre Covid19? For me and my family, we’re playing more basketball together out the front, and I’m certainly doing more of what I love, which is cooking more, with the time that I have not racing around to my children’s sports events. I’m even getting back in to my love of reading and writing, and w...ondered why I stopped indulging as often in books! Family time and ME time has now become a no brainer for me and I’m loving the calmness in my household because of it. Have a great weekend everyone! #familytime #metime #ownyourroad #balance #womenleaders #leadership #calm

09.01.2022 You’re too nice! If you’ve ever had this said to you, then think about this in the current situation we are in with Covid19 and beyond: Nice people are genuinely checking in on their team mates... Nice people are giving others more of them then they are giving themselves Nice people are working around situations to make sure that everyone is able to reach agreement, and are considering all points of view Nice people still have the capability to be firm and speak up when they believe that they have something to put forward Nice people can set expectations of others and still be friends with them Nice people can still negotiate and reach a mutually acceptable position Nice people are being mindful of others, but still have the end result at the forefront of their mind So, if you’ve ever had someone say you’re too nice, take it as a compliment, and do as I do, say Thankyou! From one nice person to another, I believe that all you need is clarity and confidence to still be a successful leader, and I’ve helped women in the past to get ahead and still be nice. I help women in male dominated industries gain the clarity and confidence they need to uncover and achieve their ideal role. 02.01.2022 Have you found yourself taking on not very nice behaviours that matched other leaders in your business? Do you think your kindness is undervalued? Here are 3 simple tips to make NICE an asset for you at work:... 1. Show your Passion for: Making positive change and getting others involved Building stronger partnerships for longer term benefit Creating an engaged team 2. Show benefit of how being nice in the past has held you in high regard when talking to others 3. Show Confidence be YOUquirks and all. I always like to think about it as people won’t remember you for what you did, but more importantly they’ll remember you for how you made them feel.
