25.01.2022 Looks the goods!

24.01.2022 A huge day for our club yesterday, and we’d like to thank everyone involved who helped make it happen. Without the support from our loyal volunteers - we just wouldn’t have got our season off the ground. It’s always a top day playing our mates from down the hill, and yesterday was no exception. Getting a win in 2 out of the 3 games, and hoisting the Chesham Sharp cup at home was the cherry on top. Final scores: LADIES - Oakdale 46, The Oaks 0 RESERVE - Oakdale 14, The Oaks 32... FIRST - Oakdale 30, The Oaks 16 #weareweare See more

23.01.2022 Today’s results A tightly contested match for our Ladies today against Narellan, playing for the Iris Crane and Eileen O’Brien cup. An entertaining game with our ladies coming out on top - 22/6 Reserve grade played a strong Narellan reserve grade side, who scooted off to an early lead. The boys dug deep in the second half but it was not enough with Narellan running out winners 30-14. Players player was Liam Baker, who was absolutely outstanding. Well done Liam on your eff...orts. First grade had the bye this week, but with the results of the Thirlmere and Campbelltown City game, we stand at the top of the Group 6 ladder. It is a massive turn around for our club who have not been in the number 1 spot for many years. The committee would like to thank Brendan, Russell and the players for their achievements in the assistance of turning our club around. We wish you guys all the best over the next few weeks in hopefully finishing the season at the top. #weareweare

20.01.2022 After an interesting season for us all, it’s finals time! Our Ladies finished their season as Minor Premiers and this weekend will play for a place in the grand final. Game details: vs City, this SATURDAY at HOME - 5pm... First Grade also finished the season strong and will also play for a place in the grand final. Game details: vs Thirlmere, this SUNDAY at HOME - 3:15pm We’d love to see as much red and black out over the weekend, supporting both of our teams At home for both games... ladies Saturday, first grade Sunday. WEAREWEARE!

20.01.2022 The first grade ventured to a cold and windy Onslow field in Camden to take on the goannas in game that was a must win for the 2 points to try stay in touch with the top 5 on the ladder. Complacency was always a concern and judging by the first 10 or 15 minutes we were in for a contest. To the opposition’s credit they competed and at the first oranges break we only led 10 nil The boys dug in and played some structured football and stretched the margin at half and 3/4 times... . Sadly we leaked a few tries in the final period but got back on track and finished off . Our young recruit arch played his best game to date , with our players player going to B1 , with 10 try assists , and bagging 11 from 12 goals He just couldn’t get across the stripe with his old legs Full credit to the opposition for hanging in week in week out with big scores put against them Next week at home vs the nrl lions The onlooker See more

20.01.2022 Thanks to all who attended our AGM tonight. If you couldn't make it, message our page with your email address and we'll send you a copy of what you missed.

20.01.2022 Here at the workers we appreciate all our volunteers. No ones work and help goes unrecognised, but on this occasion we would like to acknowledge Mandy Carlile MacBeth for finishing her game last night and ducking over to Onslow from Campbelltown to make sure the boys where strapped and ready to go. It was very much appreciated. Thanks Mandy

19.01.2022 In memoriam of Margaret Elizabeth Simpson (nee Brosnan) 1949 - 2020, family and friends are invited to a memorial service Wednesday the 11th of November at 11AM, St Paul's Catholic Church, 26 John St. Camden. There will be a small reception following at The Oaks hotel, 36 John St The Oaks. Due to issues with COVID, we need people to inform us of their intention to attend, and a contact number by emailing to [email protected]... Regards Simpson family.

19.01.2022 Our Reserve Grade unfortunately finished outside the finals this season. The boys have shown an enormous amount of courage throughout the last few seasons and huge signs of improvement this year; and we look forward to building on that next season. We’d like to thank our sponsors of Reserve Grade: Brad Beard Concreting, Wards Accounting Group, Rainsaver, Braycharlo Estate & TRN Group. Our club simply wouldn’t survive without the support from these local businesses. Big thanks to Warren Gannon Photography for our Team Photo this year.

19.01.2022 Today’s Results vs Campbelltown City LADIES Up against the grand finalists from last year it was always going to be a challenge. In the end Oakdale took the win 5-0. A crucial field goal to Macie Carlile was then followed up 3 minutes later by a cut out pass from Macie to Shellie for the winning try. A couple of dusty decisions in the last 2 minutes kept Oakdale defending their line which they did admirably, to hold out city and get the win.... RESERVE GRADE Today reserve grade put in a real gutsy effort. Winning their hard fought game against Campbelltown City 24-22. A massive credit to Clint Harding who nailed all 3 goals, 2 of them from the sideline, to a very vocal City crowd. Side note: Today we finally break a drought of 3+ years of not one single win in reserve grade. Well done boys FIRST GRADE Our lads were complacent for probably 60 minutes today vs a very committed City outfit. Whilst it was a great come from behind win for our boys, down 10/30 not long after half time, we ended up scoring 22 unanswered points to get the chocolates, with the final score 32/30. Burkey bagged 4 meat pies and took out our players player. A proud day for our club See you guys down the hill at The Oaks next Saturday afternoon

18.01.2022 Book it in. Set to be a cracker night

18.01.2022 With home games on both days this weekend, the club is reaching out to see if any coffee vans would like to attend either or both days Please tag anyone you think may be interested or have them DM our page

16.01.2022 Round 2 turned out to be a cold, wet and muddy day for all of our teams, traveling down to Mittagong for all 3 games. Our Ladies defeated Mittagong convincingly, 30-8 in what ended up being a messy 2nd half. Reserve Grade had a hard fought loss to Mittagong - going down Oakdale 8, Mittagong 10.... And a bruising encounter for First Grade, with Mittagong Lions showing their courage, but in the end our experience and consistency in the Oakdale Workers seen them come out on top, defeating Mittagong 26 to 6. #WeAreWeAre

16.01.2022 Who doesn't love a good pie or sausage roll at the footy! We are excited to be stocking plenty of Garlo's Pies & Sausage Rolls this Sunday. We'll also have the usual chips, chocolates, soft drinks, water, Powerade & lollies. See ya Sunday ... #weareweare See more

15.01.2022 The LLT travelled to Campbelltown to take on a young city 2 team. In awful conditions the girls got off to a slow start and led 18-0 at halftime. An increase in effectiveness in line speed and attacking shape lead to an improved second half. Eventually the girls ran out 48-0 winners. Players player was Tayla Merrick who was unstoppable at the back just nudging out Kaye Glancey who was very sharp out of dummy half .

15.01.2022 Our Ladies have certainly come a long way from their first couple of seasons, and as a club - we couldn't be more proud of the girls. We'd like to take this opportunity, to thank a few of our sponsors - particularly Coutts who generously sponsored our Ladies side in their inaugural season, and have continued with their support & sponsorship ever since. We'd also like to thank Luxe Skin Emporium Picton, MWM - Modern Wealth Management & Macquarie Grove Homes for their generosity over the last couple of seasons. Our club simply wouldn't survive without the support from these local businesses. Also a big thanks to Warren Gannon Photography for doing our team pics and capturing some beauties throughout the season.

14.01.2022 PREMIERS The girls put on an absolutely outstanding performance over the park tonight to run out winners 22-0 against Campbelltown City. The girls have been the pinnacle all year and a dominant performance in the big dance shows great signs for the future of our LLT!... Up ya go girls #weareweare

14.01.2022 Our first grade put in a gutsy performance against a very determined Thirlmere Tahmoor SRLFC side, who eventually ran out winners 33-22 to secure a 2nd straight group 6 premiership. To there credit, the roosters played over half of the game with 12 players on the field and where to good for our boys on the day. For the people that have been asking, Luke Rouland is doing well. Thank you for the messages We’re extremely proud of our boys who have been more than competitive th...is year, we look forward to seeing them back next year and working exactly how they have been to get back to the big dance. We thank Brendan and Russell for getting us back to the top of group 6 after a long time of hardship. To our reserve grade, we have seen signs of improvement every week you guys played. We hope you remain at the club to build towards that. We thank Danny for his coaching this year to finally break the drought and get us a win! We look forward to next year. To our LLT, what an outstanding year you girls had, and got the most prestigious reward of a premiership and minor premiership. Thank you to Troy and Mandy, what an outstanding team you guys are! 12.01.2022 A courageous effort by an injury stricken First Grade side, has seen Oakdale advance to the Grand Final next Sunday Their strong defense today saw Oakdale defeat Campbelltown City 19-6, with City getting their only try in the last few minutes of the game. Oakdale take on the much fancied Thirlmere side, playing at Campbelltown Stadium at 3:15pm, next Sunday.... This is a ticketed event with allocated seats, so please get your tickets early if you want to be there to support our Workers! https://m.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx?sh=GROUPRL20 #weareweare

11.01.2022 Great day for the footy! TODAY: 3:40 LLT - Mittagong vs Narellan White 5:00 - LLT - Oakdale Workettes vs City Blue ... 6:30pm - 3rd DIV Narellan vs Highlands Storm Plenty of food and drinks

11.01.2022 Awesome service!

11.01.2022 With the shortened season this year, we weren’t able to manage an official opening for our new scoreboard, named after Brian and Joan Russell, who have both contributed so much to our club over the years. Replacing our old scoreboard has been a goal for our club for many years, and this season - it happened. This wouldn’t have been made possible without the help of some very generous supporters, particularly Russell Lewis of Shire Steel. We are extremely grateful to Russ for all he does for our club #weareweare

10.01.2022 Looks the goods

10.01.2022 Today we received this from our local MP, recognising our club and community in what has been the most challenging time for so many. Our club has pulled together in the most admirable way - with 2020 being a season to remember. We are a small town. We are a proud club. We are full of heart. ... We are...... We are...... #WeAreWeAre

09.01.2022 Unfortunately there will be no live stream. This will be the only way to listen to the game live. Let’s go workers ... https://www.facebook.com/143180519155372/posts/1848490058624401/?extid=rZZS4SRPvXg2DeQD&d=n

08.01.2022 It is with deep sadness we learned of the passing of Margaret Simpson during the week, wife of Mick Simpson, life member of our club. Margaret was an original member of our Ladies Auxiliary; and her sons Brennan and Aaron also played for Oakdale. Our sincere condolences to Mick and the rest of the Simpson family during this difficult time.

08.01.2022 After a huge couple of weeks and many changes made to our field, we are very much looking forward to Sunday and the local derby with The Oaks Tigers SRLFC. Together, we are playing for the Chesham Sharpe Cup, in memory of both club founders. We ask if you have travelled to Victoria in the 14 days prior to Sunday, or if you have visited any of the known hotspots (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates) that you please don't attend this weekend. #weareweare

06.01.2022 Our Ladies League Tag take on Narellan today at 1:50pm at Oakdale, and will play for the Iris Crane/Eileen O’Brien shield. Over the years, both ladies have been vital parts of their clubs and winning the shield is a proud moment for either side. Our Reserve Grade kick off at 3pm and we’d love to see some familiar faces out supporting the Oakdale Workers today (first grade have a bye). #weareweare

04.01.2022 Tonight the Oakdale Workettes played a tough game and made their way through to the GRAND FINAL! This is a first for Oakdale and a sign of the great team we have built over the last few years. The ladies dug deep and defended their line for lengthy periods and came out on top - a credit to their commitment to each other. The Workettes play next Saturday, 5:00 at Dudley Chesham Oval (The Oaks). Come out and support the girls as they look to be the first Oakdale ladies team to win the LLT competition! #weareweare

04.01.2022 What a great share! Thanks John Doggo

02.01.2022 A huge thank you to one of our major sponsors Coutts for our handy sanitizers, helping our players in all 3 grades remain COVID safe during our 2020 season. Coutts have been on board as a sponsor since inception of our Ladies League Tag side and we are extremely grateful for their continued support

01.01.2022 Our First Grade went down in the Grand Final in a somewhat shortened competition and a competition lacking a few heavy weight clubs; nevertheless it was still a grand final! Sadly after a determined start we found ourselves trailing at all the breaks and to the credit of Thirlmere, even being down to 12 men for well over half the game, they lifted and finished too strong; capitalising on our errors to win 33/22. It was pleasing to again lift first grade off the canvas as pe...r 2019, with a more than competitive squad; and to again play finals football for a second year running. A massive thanks to all players and coaching staff: Badge, Rusty, Scoop, DA, Subway and Mandy and to our loyal sponsors who even in an abbreviated competition, supported us and back us financially to put a team on the paddock each week. We'd like to thank our First Grade sponsors: CASE Statewide Solar Shire Steel Royal Hotel Camden & Superior Mini Mix.

01.01.2022 We are in the process of trying to arrange a section for all Oakdale fans to be at Campbelltown Stadium together next Sunday for the Grand Final. We will update the page as soon as we have more information #WeAreWeAre
