23.01.2022 Getting ready for Preschool & kindergarten next year. Our 3-5 year olds participated in set out literacy and numeracy groups just like we do with our kindergarten classes in primary schools. Our 20 year trained ECT & Primary school teacher as well as our very experienced preschool educators ensure Oxford Greens children are well prepared for school. Studies show that learning through play, music and hands on activities allow children to absorb information and retain it rather than learning through consistent verbal rote and worksheets.

17.01.2022 How many popsicle sticks will it take to make a long fence?! .... Our Branches/Leaves (3-5 years) children enjoyed practicing their numeracy, fine motor and guessing skills by counting, painting on their craft glue and sticking down /creating a straight long colourful fence!! 1:1 number recognition - creating patterns - and understanding the concept of lining up objects. Thanks Miss Suha @Yagoona centre.. children were active participants and had fun learning through play and being productive

11.01.2022 Combined Dinner/ staff meeting: Bass Hill & Yagoona staff had a great night together learning, providing feedback and sharing opinions in mixed groups to discuss strategies. What a productive night. Such a Dedicated wonderful team @ both Bass Hill & Yagoona locations which truly makes Oxford Greens a one of a kind learning centre. We also welcomed Miss Noura to the team, a great educator with over 10 years experience in Early education.

So many art ideas for Halloween where creating spiders leads us to the wonderful theme of spiders, insects and reptiles .... such curiosity... soo many questions!!!!

At Oxford Greens we are always taking all precautionary measures to STAY SAFE & CLEAN. Checking childrens temperatures regularly with the forehead no touch thermometers. Checking children who show any symptoms of illness at all times.

Children enjoy a different set up in the classrooms, dress up in their favourite costumes , decorations around the centre, disco time and best of all our wonderful Halloween healthy treats! Thank you today to one of our creative mums who designed these healthy treats using cheese, wheat biscuits and carrots carved into ghost !!!!!! .... Our 0-2 year olds enjoyed putting their hands in some paint to make a skeleton outline!!!
