20.01.2022 Awarded to Thiess and Macmahon in December last year, the $500m Fredrickton to Eungai section of the Pacific Highway will come under construction in the coming months. The 26.5km carriageway is part of the larger 40km Kempsey to Eungai project, with the Kempsey Bypass section already under construction. These separate, yet connected projects, are an indication of the large-scale infrastructure projects that will be commencing in the coming months and years throughout NSW.

18.01.2022 Two further contracts have been awarded for the Roy Hill project. Earlier this week Decmil was given the task of providing port and rail facilities, and then yesterday NRW announced that it had been award a $67m earthworks, piping and drill blast contract.
12.01.2022 The Hume Highway is well on track for successful completion in mid-2013. The massive infrastructure project which began in 2009 has only one section remaining.
11.01.2022 The $618 million Kempsey Bypass has today opened to traffic fifteen months ahead of schedule and in time for easter. The 14.5km divided four-lane highway includes the longest bridge in Australia, at 3.2km. The project was delivered by the KBA Alliance which included RTA NSW, Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd, AECOM and Coffey.
09.01.2022 The $191 Million Brighton Bypass Project in Tasmania has come to a successful conclusion. The 9.5 kilometres of dual carriageway began in 2009 and was delivered by Thiess and John Holland, VEC Civil Engineering and Hazell Brothers.

01.01.2022 STATE OF ORIGIN NSW Increased Construction Industry employment opportunities due to several significant Sydney and Regional Rail and Road Projects being recently awarded or in early bid stages. It is anticipated that after a fairly flat period of growth over the last 10 years, Urban Sydney Projects will be a catalyst for significant construction employment opportunities commencing around the 3rd quarter 2013.... Qld Still busy in the areas of CSM/LNG and Regional Flood Reconstruction, the Moreton Bay Rail Project will be awarded in August with future Major SEQ Road Projects on the radar, The Kingsford Smith Drive Upgrade, The Gateway Motorway North Upgrade and the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing. Plus the word on the street is that there will be some significant announcements regarding Abbott Point. Vic Ongoing work on the Regional Rail Link and Bendigo Hospital with The East West Tunnel, Port of Hastings Deep Water Port, Melbourne Metro Tunnel in the Pipeline. ACT Roadworks and Telecommunications to drive future activity. SA South Road Project in early bid stages, Adelaide Hospital and Urban Superway ongoing with little else on the radar. WA Several early contracts awarded on Roy Hill. Ongoing work on the Gateway Alliance, Wheatstone and Gorgon Projects. NT Engineering construction activity is expected to increase sharply as design, fabrication, and construction of the Inpex LNG project begins in earnest. Tas Unusually quiet at present.
01.01.2022 Construction works on the Port of Melbourne's $1.6b Webb Dock project are under way. Due to be completed by 2016, the project will create 3,000 direct and indirect jobs and secure Melbourne's port as the busiest in Australia.
