Thanks again for the amount of work all the teachers have put into the remote learning website - and great work Carly and Emily for their ongoing work to ensure it is ready to go each week. We have all received a lot of positive feedback from parents, particularly about the learning videos being accessible with the work. Carly will publish it tonight. Make sure you make use of this fabulous resource. HOME LEARNING PHOTOS We would love to see some home learning photographs to publish on our FB page. Please send them through to Lea.

24.01.2022 IT’S A FIRST VIRTUAL TRANSITION DAY FOR OXLEY PRIMARY 2021 PREPS On Friday 14th August, we had the first of our virtual transition days and WHAT A GREAT SUCCESS. ... Thanks so much to the parents who helped out with the remote learning. It was lovely to see all of the student’s faces and having the opportunity to get to meet everyone. Chanel Vincent (our 2021 Prep Teacher Chanel has been teaching in the junior years for 7 years) was amazing at making everyone feel welcomed into our learning community. She started with introductions of course and then we did a scavenger hunt, read a big book and had a little sing-a-long about those naughty ducklings that went off on a wander by themselves. Our next transition day is coming up soon on September 11, from 9:30-11:00am. Be sure to register via email [email protected].

22.01.2022 Are your kids looking for a writing challenge during remote learning? Why not encourage them to promote mental wellbeing? Check out the photo below for details.

21.01.2022 What a vibrant way to start the day with our Annual Book Week parade on the most stunning Spring morning. A huge thank you to all the parents and kids (and the amazing looking staff) who went to so much effort to 'dress up' as their favourite character out of a preferred book. We awarded prizes across the school to some special characters: 1st: Oliver Booth - Scare Crow - Wizard of Oz 2nd: Ava Lewis - Mermaid from the Mermaid Muddle... 3rd: Jed Dal Zotto - Pedey the Cat - Dog Man Staff favourite was Jo Currie Well done to all - very proud of your efforts.

16.01.2022 ONSITE LEARNING Thank you so much to those parents who have booked their son or daughter into onsite learning for next week. This is just a reminder:... If you wish to have your son/daughter onsite for next week, please complete the application form (attached) for onsite attendance and email this back to [email protected] by 3.30 pm Friday 21 August otherwise will will not have the required staff on the roster to offer you a place. Please remember the reasons for onsite learning are as follows: 1. You cannot supervise them, or find someone to supervise them, at home because you are required to work; 2. Your child identifies as vulnerable; or 3. Your child has a disability; NOTE: An onsite attendance form will need to be completed each week for the following weeks attendance.

16.01.2022 COVID-19 PRINCIPAL UPDATE Unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of information about schools provided in today’s update from the Premier. Here is what we do know...... Remote Learning will continue until the end of Term 3. All students in regional Victoria will return to onsite learning in term 4 possibly between 12 and 16 October (Week 2). More information will be provided in the coming days once we receive more information and further clarity from the Department of Education. Please read your Xuno notes for information on our learning packs for Weeks 9 and 10. Regards Lea P.S. Happy Father’s Day to all of our amazing dads on staff and throughout our school community!

12.01.2022 Our ES staff - Emily, Leah and Jo - have been busy all this week calling families at home to check in on remote learning. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to touch base with students, parents and carers. While they will be making these calls regularly, we still welcome and encourage parents to get in touch if they require additional assistance with remote learning or have concerns or queries.
