22.01.2022 We would like to make a special mention of one of our Scout Leaders, Jane "Warrigal" Hall, who every year helps provide the music for the Sutherland ANZAC Day Dawn Service, with the Sutherland Shire Brass Band. Not only is Jane an awesome Scout Leader she is also the President of the Sutherland Shire Brass Band. It's always a pleasure to listen to them every ANZAC Day, as they always enrich the Service. If you or someone you know would be interested in joining this local community band, they are always looking for new members, so get in touch!

20.01.2022 Last night our Scouts learnt about the World Scouting Messengers of Peace program and th United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in order to help our Scouts to Create a Better World! Our night was lead by one of our passionate PL's Lauren and it was fantastic! Scouts first learnt from some of our PL's about a four of the 16 SDGs being: Goal 4: Quality Education; Goal 5: Gender Equality... Goal 13: Climate Action Goal 14: Life Below Water Then the Scouts discussed and explored how they can make a contribution towards these global goals! Some of these discussions and plans will hopefully lead into Messengers of Peace projects which our Scouts will participate in and lead in the coming months! We can't wait to see how the Messengers of Peace projects turn out! @scouts.australia @scoutsnsw @sycnsw #scoutlife #messengersofpeace #ScoutsEnvironment #scoutsforsdgs

12.01.2022 Being a Scout is learning the skills in order to be an active part of your community. This is especially true in a time of crisis. This post came across Chil'ls news feed today from the Scouts of Lebanon and its shows the powerful actions of Scouts in times of crisis, and in this case after this weeks terrible explosion in Beirut. Scouts is a global movement with the same goal. These pictures show how much impact Scouts can have in their communities both locally and across... the globe! Our hearts go out to the people of Beirut as they recover from this terrible disaster.
