25.01.2022 It's done!!!!! The last pile and the last pontoon were put into position this week exactly on schedule to the day to Phil's timeline predicted eight months ago. What an absolutely amazing effort by Phil (in the cab of the excavator), John (foreground) and Rupert (background). Now there are just the final touches of electricity, water, cover plates etc to finish what will be the biggest, most up-to-date privately owned marina in Tasmania and one of the biggest in Australia. A major milestone in the incredible story of Oyster Cove Marina.

25.01.2022 It speaks for itself!!

25.01.2022 Just a reminder of what our magnificent D'Entrecasteaux Channel and Bruny Island have to offer. At last you can untie all those boats that have been relegated to sitting idle in the marina for the last few months and go and enjoy our amazing surroundings. Have a great long weekend.

25.01.2022 COVID-19 Recreational Boating Restrictions Update May 8, 2020 There are no changes to the current boating restrictions apart from boat ramps within National Parks and Reserves opening to residents within 30 km of their home as of 11 May 2020.

24.01.2022 And it didn't stop with Rippa. Mike Church and his crew on RQ Six took out first place overall in Division 2 for the series. Congratulations on a great weekends sailing Mick. A big weekend for OCM residents.

19.01.2022 This week we have received re-accreditation as an International Clean Marina and Fish Friendly Marina for another three years, from Marina Industries Association! Link to our environmental policies in comments

19.01.2022 The activity never stops at OCM. Marina extension completed last week. Last section of concrete being poured on the hardstand today between sheds 2 and 3 to complete the best boatyard facility in the state. This will become the new mast/rigging maintenance bay.

18.01.2022 WE'RE BACK!!!! Great news today as OCM returns to normal operations post Covid lock-down. Office hours are 9.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Sailtrin Fitness will re-open Monday June 15. Seawall Cafe will be open from this Friday 5th with restricted customer numbers but still able to accommodate 10 inside and 10 outside. Look forward to seeing you at the marina soon. Before and after pictures show the great progress Phil, John and Rupert are making on the extension.

14.01.2022 The TraveLift is out of action for the week while we carry out some repairs to the slipway. We're taking haulout bookings again from next Monday, August 3.

14.01.2022 Another shitty day in paradise

13.01.2022 Work continues on the expansion of the Oyster Cove Marina at Kettering. Great to see marine infrastructure continuing to accommodate the growing boating community.

13.01.2022 A major milestone was achieved this week with the installation of the new pens on B Arm. This finalises the internal stages of the project with just the last 50 metres or so of the attenuator to go. This is a little more complex as there are pens on either side of the attenuator but Phil expects to have the installation of piles and pontoons finished by the end of June. Then we can say goodbye to our trusty, rusty barge which has been so critical to the project. The other good news is that we will be back to normal operations and office hours from Monday (June 1).

12.01.2022 The only place in the world where you can see seven (7!!!!) D's lined up side by side. Forget your foiling AC75's. These are REAL one design yachts.

10.01.2022 Remember those times when you serviced you car and there were a couple of nuts and bolts left over when you finished? This is what happens when you re-build a marina!!! There's a 3/4 inch stainless steel washer in there somewhere

09.01.2022 Recreational Boating Update The premier has just announced that recreational boating is now restricted to launching ramps located in the municipality of the boat owners primary residence. This is to stop people flocking to coastal towns over Easter. More to follow when details are released.

08.01.2022 The latest project to come off the OCM production line. A new home for Kingborough Volunteer Marine Rescues new boat. Pontoon refurbishment by John (Braddy) and hinged ramp built by Steve. What a team!!!

08.01.2022 OCM looking more like Ruhcutters Bay on Boxing Day morning than Oyster Cove. Fabulous day for race 2 of the Pipe Opener. Happy sailing everyone.

07.01.2022 An updated map of the marina with visitor berthing information is now available on our website https://www.oystercovemarina.com.au//Oyster-Cove-Marina-Ma

05.01.2022 Congratulations to OCM resident Rippa, brilliantly sailed by Tony Lagden and his crew to take first place in Division 2 of the Pipe Opener against the cream of Hobart's sailing fraternity. Kettering (and OCM) really put on a show for the huge fleet. Congratulations to Mike and the team at KYC for organising such a wonderful event. Thanks to Annie Oates for the great fleet photo.

04.01.2022 Pretty crappy day at OCM

03.01.2022 A big day for the longest serving member of the OCM team. It's the big one for John Bradford today. I'm sure you'll agree that he doesn't look a day over 69!!!. At some stage over the years "Braddie" would have worked on every nut, bolt and screw on the marina. Thanks for your amazing contribution to the success of OCM John. Happy Birthday and have a great day.

01.01.2022 The Pot O' Gold is at OCM!!!!
