25.01.2022 HIGH AND LOW TEMPERATURE RESISTANT TUBING - need to get air from an air pump to the air distributor valves, or from the air distributor to some air stones, or do you need to empty/fill your aquarium? Then you will need tubing. Our High and Low temperature resistant tubing is available in 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 12mm and 14mm. There are also 3 styles to choose from - Transparent, Frosted or Green.

24.01.2022 CYLINDER AIR STONES - we have worked with the manufacturer to develop a range of cylinder air stones that are far superior to the air stones usually available in Australia from companies such as AquaOne. We started by sourcing the best quality carborundum stone which has been sintered at 1500 Degrees Celcius making it very strong. It is also acid and ozone proof which allows these air stones to be used for a range of purposes, such as Aquariums, Outdoor Ponds, Aquaponics and ...Hydroponics. Then we encased the stone with ends that have a little bit of flexibility to avoid the end snapping off as often happens with other brands. To further ensure the durability of this air stone a metal inlet was also added. The metal inlet has a step in it so to allow use with 4mm and 8mm tube. 23.01.2022 ORE-SAND PARALLEL AIR STONES - aside from being made from high quality ore-sand stone and being extremely affordable these air stones are great because of their low flat design and their variety of lengths ranging from 10cm to 120cm. They are perfect for creating a wall of bubbles otherwise known as an air curtain. Just select the perfect length parallel air stone for your aquarium, place it on the floor or even under some gravel and create a beautiful feature from the bubbles that are produced.

19.01.2022 DOME AIR STONES - a special mention goes to the large (20cm Diameter) Dome Air Stone which can aerate a massive 40 Litres per minute. This means that it can fully replenish the aeration in a 300 Litre tank every 7.5 minutes. The way the Dome Air Stone expels its bubbles also makes for a really cool looking feature which is both useful and mesmerizing. Available in 3 sizes.

18.01.2022 BIO FILTER SERIES - Biological filtration utilises good bacteria found naturally in every pond to convert toxic nutrients (Nitrites and Ammonia) to Nitrates, a nutrient low in toxicity which plants use for growth. This process is called nitrification. There are two types of bacteria responsible for this process, nitrosomonas and nitrobacter. In most fishponds, there are not enough of these bacteria to keep up with the nutrients being released by the fish in the pond, so a sim...ple way of increasing the amount of good bacteria has been found. Nitrosomonas and nitrobacter live on every surface of the pond, on the rocks, leaves, logs etc. So to increase the number of bacteria, we must provide them with a greater surface area to grow on. To achieve this, a filter box is constructed and filled with biological filter media. This filter media has a massive surface area to volume ratio, meaning that when water is pumped through the filter box, it goes past many billions of good bacteria, all converting the nutrients to safer forms.
