Categories : Open age - Female , male and mixed Cost : FREE Timetable Sunday 1st December 2019 9am-12pm - SA men's and women's camp Saturday this will be a demo as well as training for state players. 1pm-3pm both days we will play trial games for anyone who is keen to join.** 3pm onwards on Sunday we will play our normal competition. All newcomers are welcome to join 1-3! Players & Team Eligibility / Registration: People of all ages are invited to participate in a Beach Handball Come and Try session between 1-3pm where they’ll be introduced to the game of Beach Handball by some experienced local and Australian players and finish with a friendly scratch match. Following the Come and Try session, the South Australian Beach Handball competition will commence showcasing games across the men’s, womens and mixed divisions. What is beach handball? Beach Handball is a spin on traditional indoor European Handball, a sport that is hugely popular on most continents of the world and is played in the Olympic Games. Beach Handball is an extremely spectator-friendly sport as "trick shots" are worth double points, making the already fast-paced game spectacular to watch. A 360 degree spin shot and a Kempa (alley-oop to another player who catches the ball and then releases in air) are both ways to score two points instead of one.Teams consists of 8 players, with 4 on court at once. High skill and fitness levels are necessary because of the sand court, which measures 27 x 12m, including a 6m goal area at either end.
