23.01.2022 Under which bin (1,2,or 3 running left to right) and what was it? Have a go. This was from our first callout this morning at Kingston. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

21.01.2022 Just a reminder about fruit tree and fishing netting. We’ve had a higher than normal volume of rescues lately for snakes and other wildlife caught up in the stuff. If you are using it on fruit trees please check it first thing in the morning and in the evening for anything that may be trapped in it and please keep any other netting like fishing cast nets etc in a sealed container or a bucket with a lid on it. It can take days or even weeks for a snake to finally succumb to th...e stress and dehydration whilst being crushed and lacerated deeply from head to tail. It’s an extremely painful and drawn out death that no animal whether you like them or not deserves to go through. In the comments section is an Eastern Brown that I discovered whilst on a callout for another Eastern Brown. It’s graphic and confronting but it is something that us and everyone else in this industry see way too often. CHECK AND SECURE ALL NETTING PLEASE! #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations See more

21.01.2022 Blue-Tongued Skink from Yarrabillba last night. What appeared to be just another mistaken identity referral callout turned in to an urgent trip to the 24hr Vets. This poor Skink just had its tail ripped off and was extremely lethargic. Although these Skinks are designed to drop their tail should another predator happen to grab it it also allows infections to possibly enter the big open wound. Good luck little buddy. Shout out Snake Catcher Brisbane - Joshs Snake Catching for this referral too. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

21.01.2022 You don’t see that every day. Callout to Tamborine for an Eastern Brown seen on the weekend. Check this out though and I’m not just talking about the beautiful Koala. Look to the left of the Koala. #ThisisAustralia #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

19.01.2022 Eastern Brown from a rock wall in Buccan. Took a long time to finally entice him out but job done. Customer filmed a short video of the capture and that’ll be in the comments. Have a happy and hot Saturday. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

18.01.2022 Welfare check and relocation for this Eastern Bearded Dragon from Logan Village. After being checked over by Veterinarians it was determined to be in excellent health and released back in to bushland. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

17.01.2022 Yesterday I had 4 things planned with family or friends and managed to squeeze in one of those things/events. I got to meet my fourth grandchild. A beautiful little girl named August. About yesterday though it was the busiest day in a very long time. This callout comes from Crestmead and was only 1 minute drive from my home. 5ft Coastal Carpet Python from under/inside the chassis of a Hyundai 4WD. Already bitten by a decent sized Carpet Python yesterday I had worse things to deal with here, hundreds of Green Ants. I chose to hose the entire ground down and lay in mud then get bitten anymore by those annoying and painful buggers. The first pic you see is my view on my back looking up near where the spare tyre drops down. Then the work began. Video in comments. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

14.01.2022 Came home late last night to this at my front door. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

13.01.2022 Red-Bellied Black Snake from underneath a washing machine in Cedar Grove. Such a gorgeous snake and it’s certainly been a while since we’ve seen a bigger sized one. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

13.01.2022 Coastal Carpet Python from Kingston. This 2 meter Python had done half the work for me already so it was just a matter of transferring from one (probably more comfortable) bag to another and then off straight away for a release. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

09.01.2022 Hence why the name Common Tree Snake is used more now as opposed to Green Tree Snake.

09.01.2022 Okay so it was bin 3 and a Red-Bellied Black Snake. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

08.01.2022 Jimboomba Coastal Carpet Python from inside a compost bin. It’s that time of the year when all egg laying Snakes are looking for a suitable nesting spot. Inside compost bins is a perfect spot. So when the bin here was lifted it was of utmost importance that we carefully searched thoroughly through all that compost and surrounding areas. Other reasons she may also be in there is she was tracking down rats or mice and also she may have been spooked by the large customers dog or harassed by wild birds. No eggs found though. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

07.01.2022 Most Chemist Warehouses are selling these amongst all the other bandages. I strongly encourage everyone to have one or two handy around the home. They have the tension indicators too. I strongly suggest you to also learn the correct first aid techniques should you need to use one or better yet take a First Aid course. It’s one thing to be able to handle a Snake bite situation (which is great) but what if you discovered someone already unconscious or experiencing anaphylactic shock? Do you know the latest CPR techniques? It’s just good to know and you may even save a life. Annually I personally attend a full day advanced first aid and CPR course and I can’t count how many times I’ve had to use that training to help people from car accidents,to sports injuries to yes.....snake bites. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

05.01.2022 I see you . Coastal Carpet Python from Cornubia in a Parrot flight aviary. Secretly disguised as a stick and on the hunt. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

03.01.2022 Huge job yesterday at Stockleigh that took us from late afternoon and into the night time. Suspected Common-Tree Snake under a spa. The whole thing had to be drained via a slow release pump outlet and as the water level dropped more and more Green Tree Frogs kept appearing. This is one of the things Common-Tree Snakes love to hunt and eat. Got Aaliyah to move them on safely but only if she could get them to crawl on to her and not grab them forcefully. 2 jumped straight on her face and I wished I’d have got pics of that . The spa eventually was drained so we flipped it and found the snake in question. One of the worst worm infestations I’ve seen in a long time too. Also relocated a heavily gravid/pregnant Huntsman Spider . #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations Happy Friday everyone.

03.01.2022 Pics of the most spectacular Common-Tree Snake I’ve yet laid my eyes on. These are the ones I meant to post several days ago. I hope it was worth the wait. Location:Crestmead #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

02.01.2022 Callout #11 this season to the one customer and same location at Bannockburn. Usually I’m there catching Eastern Browns but today it was a Yellow-Faced Whip Snake caught between 2 sliding doors. Thanks for reaching out to us AGAIN lol Gee Crothers #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

01.01.2022 Difficulty level 8/10. Mt Cotton Coastal Carpet Python. A rather painful job and rushed too as after arriving we had just under an hour until a kids 7th birthday party was kicking off yesterday. He let me know what he thought of me too. Job done though. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations

01.01.2022 Callout to Munruben a few days ago for a Common-Tree Snake. Just before we arrived the little one ran off in to the garden. It would have been a needle in a haystack job but by miracle I managed to spot it straight away. This was definitely 1 I wished had of been recorded. Happy Friday everyone. #OzCaptureSnakeRelocations
