21.01.2022 We just wanted to give a very special shoutout to Viv one of our incredible volunteers from Ozcare Emerald. With energy and smiles, Viv wakes up at a very spritely hour of 4 am to help provide influenza vaccinations at nearby mine sites. We can certainly see why Viv was an Ozheart award winner back in 2017 before retiring and becoming a volunteer. We would be lost without you - Thank you

21.01.2022 We've had a great day today at Ozanam Villa Clontarf for Melbourne Cup. Lots of fun and games, pass the parcel, pin the tail on the horse, horse noodle balloon tennis as well as fashions on the field. We hope you had a great day too!

17.01.2022 We all know the benefits of pet therapy so it's always a joy when pets visit our aged care facilities. One of our staff members at Clontarf brought her dogs, Max and Sally, in to visit our residents. Needless to say there were lots of smiles and pats for our furry friends.

16.01.2022 After a lifetime spent volunteering, June Quinlan is retiring from what has been an outstanding volunteering contribution of nearly 60 years to our Villa Vincent aged care facility in Townsville. Ozcare sincerely thanks June for her wonderful service, she has greatly assisted our staff and the love, guidance and support she has shown to our residents and their families has touched many lives. We wish June all the best for the future.

13.01.2022 Our Emerald branch has launched a new Dementia Advisory & Support Service led by long-time Emerald resident and registered nurse Paula Gordon, who steps into the role of dementia advisor. The service aims to help people living with dementia and their carers. Among those welcoming the new service is Maureen Robertson, who cared for her husband who lived with dementia for many years. Paula and Ozcare care assistant Lelitta Davidson recently visited Maureen, who is very pleased to see a new service that offers support for people with the illness and their loved ones.
