12.01.2022 Congratulations to all the OzFish Seeds for Snapper volunteers who came together as community making today’s efforts all the more rewarding. Everyone shared the same passion for healthy marine environments supporting abundant fisheries for future generations. Mums, Dads and heaps of hard working youngest shared buckets of fruit waste with crew from WA’s leading fishing group #recfishwest and Perth NRM Science communicator #coastalwayne https://www.perthnrm.com/project/adopt-a-beach/ Well done everyone

09.01.2022 Not many crayfish legs on the wash down bays yet but the Cockburn Powerboat club members have been busy collecting Seagrass seeds ready for tomorrow’s Open Day. Come down and say hi, open to the public
07.01.2022 Each November OzFish calls on recreational fishers to take part in a massive effort to restore the lost seagrass meadows of Cockburn Sound. The area has lost 85% of its seagrass habitat since the 1960s and this loss affects baby pink snapper as well as many other species. Volunteers are needed to help collect seeds and more... register online now at ozfish.org.au to help. And share the hell out of this if you can please... This project is made possible through by the WA Government's Recreational Fishing Initiatives Fund and is supported by our major partner BCF - Boating, Camping, Fishing, The University of Western Australia, Cockburn Power Boats Club and Recfishwest #BetterHabitatBetterFishing #GenerationRestoration #SeagrassRestoration #WeGotThis #FishHabitat
