Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) identifies 17 occupations which fill critical skills needs that support Australias economic recovery from COVID-19 based on expert advice from the National Skills Commission and consultation with Commonwealth departments. Employer sponsored nomination and visa applications with an occupation on the PMSOL will be given priority processing. All other skilled occupation lists will remain active, but the PMSOL oc...cupations will take priority. The list is temporary and priority occupations may change as Australia recovers from the pandemic. 04.01.2022 Information on 189 Visa Invitation Prediction Based on Communication between DHA (Department of Home affairs) and Acting Minister for Immigration back in November 2020: "It was recommended that for 2020-2021 Program for 189 Independent Point Test Visa, only medical professionals and Occupations in critical sectors will get invited."... So anyone waiting for 189 visa invitation for all other occupations must wait for 2021 -2022 program starting from July 2021. It will also need to be looked at whether DHA changes policies related to inviting other occupations or have the same policy as 2020 - 2021 program. 04.01.2022 !!!! BAD NEWS FOR ACCOUNTANTS APPLYING FOR NSW 491 !!! One of our client applied for NSW 491 visa nomination as Accountant while living in regional and holding an accountant related job. But today we got a mail from Regional NSW stating that accountant cannot be nominated as DIBP instructed on which specific occupations can be nominated. Accountant therefore cannot be nominated under 491 Visa under NSW. We mailed Regional NSW to get a confirmation on whether this implication... of Accountant not getting invite will stay till June next year or for only next few months. We are waiting for a reply from them and as soon as we get a reply, we will inform you. PLEASE DO NOT MISINTERPRET THIS POST AS IT IS UNCLEAR TILL REGIONAL NSW GOVT GIVES US A REPLY.
