13.01.2022 Lennox Wade, aged 6 from NSW started the concept of 'Snacktember,' collecting snacks and unwanted pantry items from family and friends and giving it to OzHarvest. "We give all the food we collect to OzHarvest who give the food to all the kids that need it, like some kids who get sent to school without breakfast or lunch," said Lennox. The idea has caught on over here in SA with the wonderful @dressedincopper ! #community #snacktember #Foodrelief Full article https://bit.ly/2IHctck

08.01.2022 Does anyone remember the old days when you used to use your sniffer to check if milk was still ok? Get in the habit of smelling milk that is in date, so you can tell the difference when it is off! Many milk brands give a 3-5 day margin past the USE BY date, which means you have more time to not waste it! #Foodrescue #fightfoodwaste #milk #zymil #lifeskills

05.01.2022 "All I can say for sure is the day I really started questioning what was meaningful for me, everything changed." We are so amazed by the journey of our CEO and founder, Ronni Kahn as she reflects on her life and how she came to create OzHarvest in her first memoir 'A Repurposed Life.' Ronni has put so much of herself out in the world for all to see throughout this process, and this video is an extension of that journey raw and unflinching. #ARepurposedLife > Shop here: https://events.ozharvest.org/shop

24.11.2021 These Leftover Roast Chicken Rice Paper Rolls aren't just delicious, healthy and super quick to make, they also fight food waste! To make them, simply: Pull apart your leftover roast chicken into strips and toss it with any vegetables in your fridge that need using up. Here we used up some cucumber, purple cabbage, coriander and spring onion. As roast chicken already have plenty of flavour, you don’t need to add any seasoning in the wrap. Once you've got your mix ready, d...ip your rice paper in a bowl of hot water and place the chicken salad mix on it then wrap. Enjoy with your favourite hot sauce! With this recipe, you'll never toss your leftover chicken again! https://www.ozharvest.org/use-it-up/tips/ #UseItUp #FightFoodWaste #LoveYourLeftovers #Recipe #RicePaperRoll
