24.01.2022 So, we have our appointment with the architect this week! I have the complete design already in my head - hope he can read minds. But just in case, Russell has drawn up some designs and sketches. They had better understand I already know where I keep the tea-towels!
22.01.2022 These little mates of ours come by regularly on our verandah and don't seem at all wary of us. We've named them Uber and Ryder. They eat the bird seed if there's nothing more interesting. But when they found the honey sandwich, Ryder jumped on Uber and they bolted down the stairs and up the nearest tree with it, preferring to dine on that alone.
19.01.2022 The driveway has been done and we now have council approval for a 2nd residence. Plans will be submitted very soon for the 2nd residence and then, full steam ahead! Retainer walls etc should be done soon. New gardens are flourishing!
16.01.2022 So, we had to do some branch chopping to bring our container in. Just enough for the truck to fit through...
16.01.2022 I'm the gatherer! Have to keep finding recipes to use them up even after we give lots away!
16.01.2022 The new baby with the crazy eyes!
11.01.2022 More toys being conquered!
11.01.2022 We have heaps happening. Have now got council approval to widen our driveway entrance, double the size in fact, the excavation for the new sheds is done, we have a DA in with council for a second residence and are getting serious about renovations to our very tiny house.
11.01.2022 Conquering the new toy!
07.01.2022 Some of our mates who live here with us...
05.01.2022 Should we do weddings here? Pondering that thought! Such a beautiful place!
04.01.2022 Might have to fix our road in pretty quickly. Ex TC Debbie paid a visit yesterday and sent road base and top soil straight into the Coomera River across the road. We are ready to start moving in any time now, get our gloves on and sort out a few dead trees. Exciting!
01.01.2022 So, it starts. We now have an empty container on site. Maybe one day it will be my swimming pool. But for now, we can begin storing excess "stuff" when we move. It's a hard place to leave! So beautiful!
