07.01.2022 Silkys campaign for EFFC club President hit overdrive this week with the enigmatic Oats Supply front man inviting the Chinese foreign investment minister to We...stern Australia to view the historic club facilities. Silky was in China recently for trade talks ahead of the massive Oats Supply Blue Light Disco show at EFFC on May 10th. It was in Beijing that he addressed the Great Hall of the People, providing a clear direction for future Chinese investment in Western Australia. State Premier Colin Barnett was caught wrong footed as Silky realigned his strategy to focus on the huge potential of the EFFC Great Hall, oval and facilities. Silkys tilt at Club President aligns with his will to relive the glory of his playing days with East Fremantle where he thrilled fans and frustrated team members during the first 7 games of the 1980 WAFL season. With Chinese investment the club can diversify and look to new opportunities for income and success in years to come said Silky yesterday on his Do As I Say blog. With minimal disruption to surrounding areas a great new facility can be erected to house club change rooms and a new Chinese embassy.
