15.01.2022 Needless to say the southern part of the Gold Coast has certainly pulled out the big guns and surprised us with its beauty, both in the bush and today back on the beach. A short, quick trip down for a quick look at Snapper Rocks ended up being a whole day of swimming, rock pools, wildlife, crossing the border into NSW for Gluten free fish and chips and beer @selfish.tweedheads and discovering where the Jetsons have retired post cartoon careers!!!! 10.01.2022 Juggling work commitments for 5 people unfortunately didn’t allow us to go away for the long weekend, so instead we did a day trip away from the beach and into the bush for some exploring!!!! Silverfox was excited to have a mini me follow him around, whilst I was a little nervous on some of the hairier 4WD tracks....Good first effort with 4WDing Bec, with a few creek crossings to boot!!!! #ozlap #queensland #sunshinecoast #hinterland @ Booloumba Falls

06.01.2022 Bec had her first go at a bit of 4wd today in our newest family member. She did a good job and had fun in a couple of water crossings. The Suzoki (The Suzuki has been bought for Zoe so it’s named Suzoki) did a great job and is a fun little 4x4. I’m sure it’s going to get plenty of time running up the beach to DI and over to Fraser

05.01.2022 Great weekend away up at Elliot Heads. We went to Mon Repos and watched the turtles come up the beach and lay her eggs. They we below high tide line so we were able to help the ranger relocate them to high ground. We had a look around Bundaberg and stopped for lunch in Harvey Bay in the way home. 05.01.2022 We were out and about exploring today in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Although first thing this morning it was a paddle at Burleigh, then back to the van for some breaky. First up on our day trip was Purling Brook Falls, then off to Natural Bridge and on the way back to the van a quick stop at Currumbin Rock pools for a swim.
