25.01.2022 Fingers crossed, my delivery mans going to have a sore back tomorrow... Or maybe Monday... who knows nowadays when the deliveries will come. But, coming back in stock, in the next day or two, we will have loads of...... Silicone resealable air tight bags - 3 sizes to choose from, including the small snack bags. Silicone Swiss roll mats (a few new colours to choose from too) Some new silicone loaf tins, thicker, heavier and cool designs and colours Silicone Round cake moulds (like a traditional cake tin, but silicone so non-stick and easy to clean. Some pancake moulds, these are pretty cool, and allow you to cook loads of mini pancakes in one go and flip them all together. Some new silicone funnels, great for getting sauces and fluids into bottles and jars. Some new fancy heavy duty silicone whisks. These are gonna be a top seller, brand new design and very different ! 23.01.2022 Inspired by Cheryls post yesterday, I decided to do a couple of hours baking this morning and make some finger buns, and some self saucing chocolate puds, steamed in the Varoma. I overfilled the moulds for the choccy puds, top tip only fill about halfway I was being helped by 2 helpers this morning, so I was a little distracted !... But the end product was delish, and well worth a try. The fact that no matter how messy the moulds get, and how much sticky sauce you get on them, they clean right up in the dishwasher. No soaking, no scrubbing, no fuss ! Everything used today is available in our store. We test, and use everything to its limits, only then are we happy to sell them. 21.01.2022 NEW ITEM !! The warmer weather is coming !!! Which means one thing.... barbecues ! ... And what belongs on the BBQ ? Burgers If you like to make your own burgers, and lets face it, they taste much better than shop bought! Then you have to check these out. If your burgers come out all shapes and sizes, then maybe you need one of these A great thick silicone mould, to shape your burgers to perfection. Simply place your mince meat in the bottom half of the mould, spread it out a bit, then place the top mould on. Push down, and bingo, you have perfectly shaped, compressed burgers, ready for the BBQ. To clean just seperate the mould and place in the dishwasher as hot as you like. Makes 5 burgers at a time. The silicone trays can withstand prolonged temperature ranges of +230C to -40C, they are dishwasher safe and made from 100% BPA free food grade silicone. Available in the shop www.OzMeg.com.au/shop

20.01.2022 Im a little bit in love with the mini loaf trays, if you havent tried them yet, then you need to, if you havent bought one yet, well.... you know where to get one The quality is amazing, dont take my word for it, If youve bought one, back me up ! Ive found, as did a few of you, the holes or perforations in the bottom, allow for a quicker prove of the dough, and the final bake comes out amazing. ... Heres my go at the Bakers Delight recipe off the community page, done in my mini loaf tray. Ready for packed lunches this week, the kids always demolish them. I included the finished empty tray, to show how easy they come out, how they dont stick, even with melted cheese all over the tray. One go in the dishwasher and it comes out like new. I proved firstly in the rattan basket, and then the second time in the tray! 20.01.2022 Putting the new stock through its paces, Hubby Dave made his weekend pancakes, and put the new flipper to the test. He tried a few variations, without butter in the pan, with butter in the pan, high heat, low heat etc. some people grease the mould etc. His final opinion, or his definitive guide as he calls it ...... No grease required on the mould, lightly butter the pan, it gave a nicer taste and finish to the pancakes, and a less toasted taste. You want to do them on a mid to slightly lower heat, and dont over fill the moulds. Be patient and wobble the mould slightly to check the tops are firming up before flipping. If it hasnt firmed up, or you want to speed it up, pop a pan lid over the top, bounce the heat back. Use a big pan, a smaller pan will curl up the sides and the mixture will escape. You can push lightly down on the handles to even it out if you have a slightly curved pan, just for a minute until the moisture underneath is cooking and firming up. Thinks hes Heston Blumenthal

However, with the overwhelming demand on AusPost and with the added restrictions to travel and transport, things have slowed.... Hopefully not for long. This is the latest update from AusPost, in short, they are being vague with their estimates, saying some rural places are 3-10 business days or more. Simply cook your veg, pasta or whatever youre making, unfold the Clip On Drainer and attach the to side of the pan.... Drains the food whilst keeping it in the warm pan, meaning your veg stays nice and warm, whilst your prep other things. 13.01.2022 Another milestone smashed, were currently at almost 950 members !! A massive welcome to the new members, of which weve had a flood of, so it looks like word is getting out about us Who am I ? What is OzMeg ?... Im a busy mum of 3 beautiful kids, who likes to bake. We got a Thermomix TM5 a couple of years ago, and barely used it, so I wanted to look for accessories that would make me use it more. So I went online, and started looking. I couldnt believe the prices of the stuff, silicone mats (same as ours) selling for $50, spatulas $19 each.... each ! We sell a box of 7 different 100% silicone spatulas for $25 ! I got fed up of being ripped off, so I said to the hubby, we could sell this a lot cheaper, so we did ! We bought dozens of items, and tested the quality, we argued with suppliers and finally found some trusted ones, that understood, we were after good quality stuff, for the best price. Less than 3 months ago, I think we started with about 6 items for sale, and we were trying to figure everything out. We had added about 30 friends to our page, and we were wondering if it was all going to work. We now have suppliers from 4 different countries, we stock 46 (I think, Im losing count) items currently, will be 55 by next week. We are currently only shipping to Australia, but we will be opening to our NZ friends soon. We take a modest profit off what we sell, where people spend lots, we always like to include some free stuff, just to show how much its appreciated. We are the true essence of a family business, everyone helps out, and we always try our best to make sure the customer is happy. We have now sold thousands of items all over Australia, and dozens of orders come in daily. Some things go out of stock quickly, but theyre always back in quickly. 10.01.2022 NEW ITEM ! The pancake flipper, it could be called the pancake, muffin, crumpet, fried egg, omelette etc etc flipper. A very handy little piece of kit, well focus on pancakes for now, but it really can be used for anything. ... Pour your pancake mix in, cook on one side, pick up the flipper with the handy handles, flip and cook the other side. So easy, and you can have a production line of pancakes rolling out the kitchen in no time. Great if you want to fry a load of eggs in one go without them all sticking together. 10.01.2022 Did you know that most plastic bakeware products contain bisphenol-A (BPA)? Which is linked to various health issues, as well as environmental problems, with the petroleum chemicals used to produce them, leak out into the environment, especially when thrown away in land fills. Silicone is made from silica, which is found in sand. This is way more durable than plastic, and safer for you as its BPA free, and better for the environmental too.... Not to mention it can survive massive temperature changes without cracking or splitting. It will never rust, and the non-stick capabilities are better than any metal pan Ive seen. Theyre one of the biggest we sell, and can be used for baking just about anything as they all can. 06.01.2022 Next (and last for tonight, Ill put the rest on a post tomorrow), NEW ITEM ! I love these, the Silicone collapsible funnels. So cute, but very handy. ... If your making jams, want to pour sauces out of a pan, or you make your own sauces, then these are for you. Collapsed theres nothing to them, open it up, and you have a fully functioning, very nifty and most importantly, easy to clean funnel ! When youve finish, leave it opened out and throw it in the dishwasher, then collapse it and put it in the drawer until next time. 05.01.2022 Cheryl is a keen home baker, and recently ordered some items off us, including a snack bar mould. Thinking outside the box, or the mould as it were, she decided to make some Anzac slices. They look amazing, and I think have to go on my list of next bakes !... The moulds have done their job, cooked perfectly, and released the bars with little effort. These are perfect size for lunch boxes and work pack-ups. Cheryls a new Thermomix Consultant, so if youre thinking about getting a Thermy ping her a message!
