25.01.2022 Increasing SMSF members to six Bill reintroduced On 2 September 2020, the Government reintroduced a measure into Parliament to increase self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) members from four to six. If passed, the amendments will apply from the start of the first quarter after the Bill receives Royal Assent. This will also increase the maximum number of members in small APRA funds to no more than six.... The measure was originally announced in the 2018/19 Federal Budget and was previously introduced into Parliament in a Bill that contained a number of other measures. However, it was removed from the Bill to allow other measures to pass.

25.01.2022 Extension of early release of super (coronavirus) application period On 3 September 2020, regulations were made to extend the temporary early access to super provision until 31 December 2020. The extension means that eligible individuals are able to submit an application under the temporary financial hardship coronavirus condition of release up until this date.... A single application for an amount of up to $10,000 may be lodged by eligible Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.

24.01.2022 The team at OzPlan are thinking of our clients directly impacted by Covid 19 and sending them our best wishes - whether it be a loved one that is sick, a loved one they can’t visit, or a business that can’t open and operate at the moment.
