20.01.2022 Plankton-inspired works are the most recent series by Alvena Hall of Adelaide, South Australia. 20.01.2022 Linden Lancaster’s work arises from her stack of ‘ideas’ books filled with sketches, song lines, poetry, colour notes, techniques and her own photographs. Australia Wide Seven premieres at Belconnen Arts Centre from 30 October to 18 December 2020 and continues on tour until October 2022.
19.01.2022 For Alison Muir of Cremorne, NSW, new works start with a ‘water message’. The design is generated following research and experimenting and testing techniques, colours and stitching often bringing together unconnected ‘traditions’ such as political comment, scientific details, graphics and text to form abstract landscapes/seascapes such as Very Dry. 2019 Australia is in the midst of the worst and longest drought since records were kept. The politicians says it’s not climate c...hange. Dry stalks don’t feed cattle or sheep. When will our Indigenous people be respected to manage the land and water the ways they have for Millenia? Australia Wide Seven premieres at @belcoarts from 30 October to 18 December 2020 and continues on tour until October 2022. Book your free ticket directly with Belconnen Arts Centre fit the exhibition opening at 6pm on Friday 30 October. Bookings essential.

This plateau country surrounded by eucalypt and deciduous trees is a park like site. Its cool climate, many gardens, closeness to the escarpment and beautiful mists, provides lots of inspiration for her work. Similarly, her journeys away from home also present opportunities to observe, draw, interpret and incorporate new ideas into her works. Carolyn has two w...orks in Australia Wide Seven. Away from Home: Indian decorative arts are such an inspiration Blown by the Wind : Grasses do such wonderful things hold soil in place, feed stock, store nutrients, a place for many organisms, provide seeds for food and so much more.
