24.01.2022 OZSCOT UNITED During this period of social distancing my aim is to keep the OzScot team connected and utilise the extra time available to develop new skills and expose our dancers to new practices. I have enlisted past and present OzScot dancers who have specialised skills in a range of different dance genres as well as strength and conditioning to provide weekly tutorials over the next few months. ... Dancers are encouraged to participate in the virtual workouts/classes and learn the choreographed steps in the comfort their homes in preparation for our new OzScot choreographies. OzScot will continue to move forward and be well prepared for our next events! Please get in touch if you are an OzScot dancer and wish to be included in the OzScot United program. 16.01.2022 South American Scots Workshop What a great workshop to be involved with! OzScot was delighted to accept an invitation from Aquila Aguirre Da Silva to teach at The South American Scots Virtual Workshop last weekend. Nervous to be doing my first virtual workshop for Tattoo Dancing, but as always once working enjoyed and was delighted with the result. ... A special thank you to OzScot Dancer Victoria Goode who supported me and very ably demonstrated the choreography. "Aquila said It was a new and unique opportunity for their dancers and pipers from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile to work with incredible instructors from Australia, Bermuda, Canada and USA. She said that they were thrilled to have a variety of session topics so there was something for everyone to enjoy! The highland dancing community in South America was so grateful to share their passion for highland with the selected dedicated teachers from all corners of the world!" This was indeed a unique opportunity for OzScot to be able to share their love of dancing and the experience proved to be rewarding as the dancers were engaging and eager to learn. Thank you Aquila and dancers for having us as part of your South American Scots Workshop. Amazed that you had 37 screens engaged. Cheryl Roach OAM Dance Director
