25.01.2022 G’day,I know there is only a couple of friends here on this page so far but I’ll keep this as a pinned post. The page is obviously about my own Snake catching business but I’d like to share many facets and educate about our Aussie Wildlife as well as a strong conservation message.Since a child I’ve been reading books, watching every documentary out there and absorbing all the knowledge possible so I could eventually become a true Wildlife Warrior. I’ve been waiting for many ye...ars to reinvent myself with a lot more passion and enthusiasm and this page is the open door to start that. All pics will be taken by myself on my very own adventures. I’ve also decided I will not be sharing this page or inviting people. I’m going to earn every like and follower through hard work, passion, word of mouth etc. So welcome to All Ozzie Adventures and thank you for your support. Ozzie See more

23.01.2022 Nothing gets me more excited when it comes to wildlife then having an interaction with something you’ve never had an interaction with before. This week I had just that with my first ever 3 Clawed Worm Skink. What an amazing little reptile these are. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me . It’s a constant adventure and no 2 days are ever the same. Always learning and always growing.

20.01.2022 The varying patterning and colour of the Coastal Carpet Python is very much like a human fingerprint. No 2 are ever the same.

19.01.2022 I know they get a lot bigger than this but it doesn’t get any better. Red-Bellied Black Snake from Waterford today. Although they are highly venomous and they sit at number #22 most venomous Snake on the planet they are generally one of the more placid snakes to deal with as a professional Snake Catcher. Often regarded as reluctant biters but as with any snake venomous or not,if you get bitten it’s not the snakes fault. They are easily recognisable by there distinct colourations of black with varying shades of red flanks. Red-Bellied black snakes are also live bearers NOT egg layers. They often reach lengths of up to and over 6ft. They truly are the most iconic and most beloved snake here in Australia

17.01.2022 When I am asked to do a radio interview or newspaper article I have 2 general rules-#1 Never use the word attack #2 Never attach any photos of Snakes in an intimidating or defensive posture. For many generations Hollywood and the media in all its many facets have carelessly instilled fear and hate in to us all towards Snakes. Many great people out there from Snake Catchers,Conservationists,Herpetologists myself included are working day and night to try and set the record s...traight and dispense facts about these amazing and important reptiles at every callout, conversation and social media post we possibly can. I get asked many questions daily and having to discredit and dispel many myths almost daily too. This video here is in my personal opinion the most informative and educational video/short documentary out there on the subject of Australian venomous Snakes behaviours. Many species featured are found right here in south east Queensland. Check it out and huge shout out to Ross McGibbon Reptile Photography See more

15.01.2022 Cicadas are an insect I’ve always had a soft spot for. Growing up in south east Queensland my whole life old discarded cicada shells were a part of life. Though seasonal you didn’t have to look to hard to find one. Some trees would have dozens of them still grasping on a branch. Here in the south east we have many different species of cicadas but they all have an unmistakable call. They are notoriously more vocal in mass typically before a summer storm. I’ll share more about the fascinating cicada down the track right here but for now enjoy these pics taken a few years ago of one going through its entire moulting process. How vibrant and beautiful is that green? It’s kind of reminiscent of when Marvels Bruce Banner turns to the Hulk in more ways then one. Woohoo.

14.01.2022 I don’t consider myself a good photographer but I do try. Today though I was able to capture this Yellow-faced whipsnake in all her glory and in the wild. Being able to capture the true beauty and essence of this amazing Elapid which is also the same family of snakes as some of the worlds most venomous land snakes such as the Eastern Brown. Unlike the Eastern Brown which is highly venomous and deadly the Yellow-faced whipsnake is considered only mildly venomous. I’ll have a lot more to discuss in future posts from distribution to diets to distinguishing features and so much more. Hope you like these pics as much as I enjoyed taking them.

14.01.2022 Late last night a rescue came through for a Coastal Carpet Python in Helensvale possibly hit by a car. I raced off to the location where an awesome member of the public waited until I arrived. She’s a Registered Nurse so I guess she has a greater understanding of the word compassion. Underneath the M1 and only 1 minute from Movieworld. Just over the strip running up the middle of the busy road the Python was coiled up. I got the big girl off the road and checked her out and s...o freakin happy to share that she was completely injury free. Matter of fact I believe she may be gravid (pregnant). Please keep your eyes out and open for all wildlife on or near our roads. 1 person made a big difference now for this CCP named Milla by the caller and I’m so grateful she cared enough to call it in and wait so patiently. Rescues do not cost you a cent so if you see a reptile that may be sick or injured please reach out and call your local wildlife rescue organisation. See more

12.01.2022 I can’t wait to start rescuing and rehabilitating these guys. They are my absolute favourite animal on the planet.

11.01.2022 An interesting callout this morning with this Coastal Carpet Python deciding up my shirt was a great place to hide. The snake season is definitely upon on now with multiple snake callouts attended every day. I’ll endeavour to share some pics in the coming days as I’ve had many different species encountered already and a very first species relocated too.

08.01.2022 Passing on the knowledge to the next generation. Last night on a callout I got to discuss Antlions to my daughter. They are fascinating little bugs that even I as a child had as pets. Yes that’s right if it was weird or wonderful I had it lol. No cats, dogs or birds for me. Those little pits you see in the sand/loose dirt are created by the Antlion as they flick their heads up to remove all dirt and create that pit. It’s design is for one purpose only and that’s to catch an un...fortunate ant who happens to wander too close and fall in. There no matter it’s most dire efforts it will rarely be able to escape and at the very bottom of that pit the Antlion waits with its opened mandibles/jaws and he/she will snap them shut trapping the Ant and pull it further down under the dirt and it’s goodbye little Ant. These little bugs are endemic right across the country but did you know this is just a larvae stage? It’s true! As eventually they will form into a little chrysalis slightly larger than your average green pea and it’ll resemble a little ball of dirt. They will eventually emerge as a Lacewing. Pretty awesome right? See more

05.01.2022 I’d like to introduce you all to Princess. Here she is enjoying some midday sun today. I’ve had Princess for just over a year now and got her from a very good friend of mine. I have 3 Centralian Carpet Pythons (Morelia Bredli)all at or over 6ft. As the last pic shows they are only endemic to one small area of the Northern Territory but a fairly popular and common species amongst breeders and as pets. They are quiet a fairly solid Python too. On the down side they are a common... Snake that become escaped pets and often caught by Snake Catchers on callouts. I’ll touch on that subject on a later date but if I can share one very valuable tip-If you are interested in keeping a Snake as a pet please do all the research you can and take in all the information you can about costs involved, dietary requirements, how big do they grow, potential health problems and diseases etc and once you have taken all that into consideration THEN make the decision as to whether or not that species or Snake in general is the right pet for you. Remembering also that a well looked after Snake should have a greater lifespan greater than your average cat or dog. They are 100% worth it though and will add great value to you and your families lives. #AllOzzieAdventures See more

03.01.2022 I love what I do and I do what I love. These pics are from some callouts I’ve done this week. It’s more than a dream come true being able to interact with these reptiles.

03.01.2022 A callout last night took me to Springfield Lakes for a juvenile Coastal Carpet Python. Covering for Josh Castle from Josh’s Snake Catching. Little one here would have only been about 80-90cm and out looking for a feed. With warmer and more humid nights now upon us you can expect to see more night time Python activity. Ozzie.

03.01.2022 A great memory.

02.01.2022 Some of the big Coastal Carpet Pythons this season so far. Living the dream
