25.01.2022 This is from a BVC Grant letter where the applicant applied for work rights. This was done by an UNLICENSED person. The Immigration Case officer requested a 956 or 956A The outcome was because this document was not provided so the case officer decided the applicants were not experiencing financial hardship for this reason alone.... This decision is wrong (I did not submit this but have been approached to assist now) BUT Immigration is now punishing those who applied with the unregistered person. So far a number of those who applied with an unregistered person have been refused their visa applications and AAT appeals very quickly making them illegal and then Immigration (Border Force) have been arresting and deporting them. Many have been sent home in the last 4-5 months. THIS IS THE WORDING FROM THE DECISION TO GRANT THE BVC Notification of grant of a Bridging visa A bridging visa has been granted on 03 September 2019 to each of the applicants listed in the attached bridging visa grant notice(s), which contain important information about your visa. On 15 August 2019, you were requested in writing to provide FORM 956 or 956A if you have been receiving assistance from a Migration Agent or an Authorised Recipient. As you have failed to provide the requested documents to date, I am not satisfied that you are in financial hardship. (The unlicensed person submitted the application for work rights) so they were captured no matter what in this decision process. Provide 956A and confirm they knew the person was unlicensed or Do not submit and suffer this consequence: WHAT I READ INTO THIS DECISION Immigration is now taking a hard line on anyone going to an unlicensed person. It seems they are doing something about it.

03.01.2022 Due to unprecedented demand the BSMQ skilled program is Temporarily CLOSED. Expressions of interest (EOI’s) submitted for SkillSelect after 5:00pm AEST 30 July... 2019 will not be considered at this time. EOIs submitted from 29-30 July 2019 (5:00pm AEST) will be accepted and considered over the coming months. Due to this demand, it is unlikely that the subclass 489 program will reopen (for skilled applicants) due to the closure for nominations on 10 September 2019 (to be replaced by the new subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa). The subclass 190 program will reopen in due course, and BSMQ will publish the re-opening date via http://fal.cn/33aN6 and on social media channels. The BSMQ Business program remains OPEN.
