Human consumption all around the world has devastating consequences on wildlife. ... What can you do to help wild life around the world ? Some simple habits can make a difference. - Recycling is a good way to reduce the amount of garbage ending in the ocean. A quick look at the label on the box, and you'll see what you can recycle or not. - In cafes or restaurant, ask for a paper straw instead of a plastic one ! No difference for you, but huge one for our animal friends ! - When you go shopping, reuse the bags that you bought the previous time ! Honestly, who need 50 plastic bags in their kitchen... 08.01.2022 Hi all ! Here is a quick update on what's going on in Port Macquarie ! The list of places to eat and drink at night gets longer, because Finnian's Irish Tavern is already opened, such as Zebu Bar & Restaurant . And now, The Beach House is reopening on Thursday !... For breakfast, Social Grounds, Bandwagon Cafe and Little SHACK are already opened and we hope Sandbox Port Macquarie will follow soon (we miss you guys !) For a bit of fun, Wave Bowl is opening back up on Saturday and the Billabong Zoo is all set to welcome guests again ! The Koala Hospital Port Macquarie is not back yet, but we all know they keep on doing an amazing job . Our usual outdoor activities are on as well, with Port Macquarie Sup Fun- Stand Up Paddle hires and lessons for stand up paddle boarding and Soul Surfing, Port Macquarie for surf ! Seems like a good time to come visit Port Macquarie !

Of course, we highly recommend you to be happy the rest of the year as well ...... Sometimes you feel like everything is dull and you can just feel that it is not going to be a good day... Try to make your mood change ! Go for a walk (in Port Macquarie of course !) and admire the river where you can spot some dolphins ... Then go see the break wall with its painted rocks ! It will lead you to the costal walk. A little stop at Flynn's beach to get a nice coffee with a view, and the day will feel better already ! Why not continue with the Koala Hospital ? They need your support and donation. And these little fur balls are just so adorable ! And you could even end the day by having drinks at Finnians, our irish pub ! See, Port Macquarie has everything to make you feel happyyyy

07.01.2022 Hello koala lovers ! As you already know, Port Macquarie is the house of 70 adorable koala sculptures that are hiding all around town. They're cute, colourful and all different from one another. ... Well, the family is about to get BIGGER, trust me ! The team of Hello Koalas are now making two big sculptures that will be 2.5m tall ! That's more than twice the size of the previous ones. Just like the others, they will be painted by local artists. One will be in Port Macquarie, and the other one will be in a new tourism area at CowarraStateForest. But the precise location is still a secret !
