12.01.2022 Thank you all for your concerns in regards to the ABC article about Methyl Bromide, this chemical has not been used for over 20 years by any Strawberry Producers in Victoria, according to the attached media release by the Victorian Strawberry Assoc the runner growers in Toolangi applied for a special one off exemption back in 2006 , which is where this inaccurate article eventuated. At P and D Canale Strawberries we have not used this chemical for 20 years. Our fruit is very safe and we mainly use good bugs to eat the bad bugs , which is a lot like Yokult or Inner Health plus for a healthy digestive system. My family eat our strawberries with out the need to wash the fruit first that's how confident we are with the healthiness of our produce.
