22.01.2022 So after a couple of days to think about the weekend at the Island Classic, I have come up with some thoughts. Ryan Taylor is a fantastic person as well as as an awesome rider. The GSXR1100 is a competitive machine, in Ryan’s hands. Pole position in qualifying was an awesome effort. Three second places by less than .16 seconds is just mind blowing. Although the gearbox let us down we are determined to rebuild stronger and faster for next year. We have been amazed by offers of help. We will return to Phillip Island next year and support the Island Classic as we have in the past 5 years.

During the Stage 4 lockdown period you are allowed to travel more than 5 kilometres to get tyres or your motorcycle serviced if you can not source these tyres or services closer to home. After two days of testing he was down to a very competitive 1:41.8 seconds a lap. 06.01.2022 Ryan got off to a great start in Race 4 but unfortunately a blown gear box forced him to retire and that’s it for the weekend. Whilst we are all a bit disappointed, it has been a fantastic weekend of close racing and we’ve proven the GSXR is a competitive old girl. Thanks to team for all the work this weekend - Ryan Taylor, Chris Lynch, Chris Rostron, and Elle Morrow. We aim to be back next year with Ryan Taylor onboard again.

01.01.2022 Something that you may not know: The ‘green goop’ that can be used in a tubeless tyre repair is for temporary use, the bike must have the tyre removed and be patched as soon as possible. The ‘goop’ is highly corrosive to alloy and if not cleaned off the rim, it will eat the rim away. Here is a rim that the goop was left in for a long period of time!!
