25.01.2022 This many holes okay ? Well here’s the basic guide to what you’re supposed to do...

25.01.2022 Not one L bracket fitted anywhere....but the entire upper floor frames have all been packed, planed and straightened. So the walls must be plumb as well then ?...apparently...lstay tuned.

24.01.2022 A quick glimpse at the quality of a timber frame that we now have the carpenters turning out consistently ( for one of our regular builders ), as they know we follow them and check it thoroughly.

23.01.2022 First impressions of a good builder to potential customers....this is how you do it !

23.01.2022 Were considering setting up an online course for Residential Supervisors Training . It will be for guys who are both new to the role...and some pointers / help for those who are not so new. So, were asking for some feedback from you experienced people out there, on what you think may be relevant subject matters / ideas. Wed appreciate it, if you could share this around for comments from those you know in the industry.

22.01.2022 Reckon a professional fencer built this ? Well the ( brand new ) house that it’s attached to has a for sale sign as well. May be full of surprises ?

20.01.2022 We help to keep our regular builder clients on track, by giving them an independent perspective on their construction practices, that help keep their sites and the job as a whole, both looking professional and to be of course, built really, really well. As a first impression to any prospective clients driving around, do you reckon this helps them enormously ? Check this out, how does this stack up with what youre doing ? Leave a comment.

20.01.2022 YES !....That is how you do it ! Its taken some time ( and some ongoing education ), but weve now got the carpenters getting the installation fixings spot on, on the Structaflor sheets....EXACTLY how the manufacturers specify it. Everyone elses carpenters out there doing the same ?... Most carpenters dont know this. They should.

19.01.2022 On site this morning, doing our Frame Stage Quality check for one of our builders ( that assists them to keep their quality standards up there ). Nice work guys. Good to see.

17.01.2022 Reckon a professional fencer built this ? Well the ( brand new ) house that its attached to has a for sale sign as well. May be full of surprises ?

16.01.2022 ...and heres another ! Gotta love it.... Someone is paying attention during the early stages of construction huh ?

16.01.2022 Whoops on Wednesday...as everyone is getting busier and more rushed, simple things like this slip through during construction and this shows why we’re out here to inspect and double check for the builder ( and supervisor ). So easy to correct at frame stage...but you wouldn’t want to be sheeted, etc then realise you got an issue ! Saving hassles and $ for builders.

15.01.2022 Something interesting on the QBCC website. https://www.qbcc.qld.gov.au//popularity-cavity-sliding-doo

15.01.2022 QBCC , there you have it. This is why we do the QA checks that we do, for our builders....and good on you all as the building companies you are, for being proactive and having us on board for you. We are an extra set of eyes out there to check things and be a backstop for you.... Installation of any product ( be it Structaflor, Scyon Flooring, cladding, windows, etc ) must be done correctly and according to the manufacturers installation specification.....or else you risk this coming back on you. Please ensure that as a trade you do it properly, and as a supervisor, you check how your people are installing all products.

14.01.2022 ...and here’s another ! Gotta love it.... Someone is paying attention during the early stages of construction huh ?

12.01.2022 Out on site today for one of our builders, doing Pre Construction Site Dilapidation Report for them prior to starting. We cover any Pre existing damage and photograph and document everything from condition of existing kerb and channel, footpath, fencing, trees, retaining walls, etc BEFORE they step foot on site. Covers them from any accusations later that they did it !

12.01.2022 Great example of thinking ahead about your site access and the work required later on.

12.01.2022 From the Interesting things we see while driving through estates file.... Reckon council will have something to say about the height of this new driveway across the roadside verge ? Maybe....after the postie goes over the bars !

11.01.2022 Yikes....now theres a law suit waiting to happen to a builder ! We saw this during our travels this afternoon, so we contacted the ( probably unaware ) builder just to let him know. Yes its raining, but theres no way we should ever see this sort of delivery happening from a delivery driver. But he clearly doesnt care.... As a site supervisor, dont let these boofheads ever create this kind of nightmare for you....better still, if the weather is crap...cancel the delivery !...please !

09.01.2022 Really.....So at what stage of construction did this look okay ? And yes, were doing a Finish / Pre Settlement stage inspection for a client !

08.01.2022 Be mindful of POTENTIAL safety issues. Do something !

07.01.2022 Interesting things we see.... Out on a new site doing a Pre start Inspection for one of our builders, and we see this cut up and dumped exposed aggregate driveway dumped on another vacant block. Note the location of the steel mesh in it ! Yep, it was clearly still sitting hard down on the ground....so to all you Supervisors out there, just keep an eye on what your trades are doing ( ... or not ).

06.01.2022 Inspections find the potential problem...easy to remedy now !

05.01.2022 For those of us that appreciate great workmanship ( and the care taken to do it )....how nice is this plumbers rough in work ! Nice work CMA.

05.01.2022 ...a great example on one of our builders sites, of just how you are supposed to set up ( according to the Australian Standard 4654.2 ) for a sliding door at a step down to an outside balcony / tiled deck. Nice work !

02.01.2022 Short video done by Homes by CMA about the services we bring to their customers.

02.01.2022 Was on site doing a frame check on Tuesday when a truck drove right up onto the site next door to clear up some rubbish there ready for a site cut. I’ll bet the supervisor did not know this was happening...but I’ll bet the neighbours had something to say ?

01.01.2022 As the builder you’ve paid $ for site security fencing to do a job...so if a curious kid is able to walk on this site today and then gets hurt....who is in the firing line ? Yep...It’s totally accessible to the public and nothing is done to prevent access. So who do you reckon is at fault here..?
