17.01.2022 Wonderful news for Australia
14.01.2022 Type one diabetes isn’t a joke!!
09.01.2022 PACED would like to introduce everyone to Liz, our very own Elf on a Shelf. Liz has been living Type One Diabetes since 1984, (even in Elf years that is a long time). Six years ago Liz started using insulin pump therapy, which now gives her more freedom and control in managing her T1D. Over December, PACED will share Liz's pump journey, including upgrading from her faithful MiniMed 670G to the 770G, Insulin Pump which offers SmartGuard Auto Mode, technology that mimics some of the functions of a healthy pancreas . Liz will include the good, the bad and in some cases the silly stuff she gets up too with her faithful pump starting from 1st December. So please join her on her journey as an Elf with TID <3
08.01.2022 We couldn’t agree more
08.01.2022 Something only a T1D can understand
07.01.2022 It's World Diabetes Day! As those of us with the condition know Type One Diabetes doesn’t only come around once a year , it’s an endless procession of insulin injections, pump site changes, dietary regulation and glucose monitoring. It takes a team of professionals, family members and friends to ensure the ongoing health of a Type One Diabetic. World Diabetes Day gives a chance for everyone affected by the condition to pat themselves on the back for how amazingly they manage... to cope with such a demanding condition, whether as a patient or a carer. How you choose to spend the day is up to you you can thank your health care professionals, friends and family for their care and support, or maybe check in with a mate who has the condition. Not everyone loves the limelight though, so if you prefer not to shout it from the rooftops, that’s ok too. Being thankful for the advancements in technology for Type One Diabetes patients is a huge theme here at PACED, and we’re working hard to make this technology available to more people through our PACED Pump Program. So, however you want to observe World Diabetes Day, November 14th belongs to you. May your blood sugars be in range, your ketones be below 0.2, and your carbohydrates appropriately bolused! #WDD2020
05.01.2022 PACED would like to wish all the amazing Dad's, Dad’s to be, Step Dad's, amazing guys & Grandads out there who have given us love, strength and comfort through the ups and downs of living with Type One Diabetes, a Happy Father's Day.
