24.01.2022 We are strong supporters of kids sport and the incredible impact in can have on a young person’s life. When it comes to our local National Premier League competition, we are proud sponsors of Charlestown Azzurri and are fortunate enough to take pride of place on the back of all youth playing strips for the 2020 season! Charlestown Azzurri is also where Evan's two boys call home Forza Azzurri!

23.01.2022 5 Years Today!! We can’t believe how quickly that time has passed it doesn’t feel like five years at all. They say time flies when you’re having fun, so Cary must be having an absolute ball. Congratulations, and thank you for your outstanding efforts. You’ve come a long way in those five years a bit like Carlton Football Club who were 18th in 2015. Cheers Cary!

20.01.2022 6 Years Today! Congratulations to our boy from the country, our resident master of banter and all-round good guy Mitchell for reaching 6 years’ service today. That gets a big from Evan! May we get to enjoy your quirky wit for many more years ahead. Cheers to you Mitch

20.01.2022 If you are looking to purchase an asset for your business, you may want to act sooner rather than later as the instant asset write-off threshold is set to fall from $150,000 to $1,000 on 1 January 2021. The instant asset write-off can be used for multiple assets as long as the cost of each individual asset is less than the relevant threshold, and can be used for new and second-hand assets. There are some exclusions and limits, so before you commit, call us to check your eligibility.

16.01.2022 Like most, it was a different Melbourne Cup for Pacer this year. Winners were still grinners though.

14.01.2022 The latest budget had plenty of cash-driven recovery initiatives the key tax implications being: - Personal income tax cuts from 1 July 2020 - A ‘JobMaker’ cash credit to encourage businesses to take on additional employees aged 16 to 35 years old - Uncapped immediate deductions for depreciable assets for businesses... - Changes to how companies can manage losses - Access for more businesses to generous tax concessions - Removing CGT for ‘granny flat’ arrangements We will provide details on these and other measures in days to come, so keep an eye out and contact us if you have any questions.

14.01.2022 There have been a few cosmetic changes to our humble little office recently, and we are very happy with the results. The magnificent artwork supplied and installed by Shannon Hartigan Images makes each room pop and is the perfect finishing touch!

12.01.2022 How do you start your day? How does quality coffee, great views and a not-so-mad Scotsman sound? Check out The Globetrotter Travelling Bar for exactly that. I might see you there!

11.01.2022 Evan is the sole director of Pacer and has a real passion for helping people. He has a young and busy family himself, so appreciates the challenge of maintaining a healthy work / life balance whilst managing a team and driving a business forward at the same time.

11.01.2022 With so many of us working from home due to COVID, do you know where you stand when it comes to calculating your home office expense claims under the ATO’s current changes? Talk to Pacer today.

04.01.2022 Pacer Accountants exist for one reason to help others. We do just that by listening to, and working with clients to help them move in the direction they need to achieve their goals no matter how big or small they seem. Their success is our success, and that is what inspires us every day.

03.01.2022 At Pacer, we just couldn’t function nearly as well if it wasn’t for our coffee! We are extremely spoilt, as two of the best in the biz look after us daily - not just with great coffee, but with a smile and a friendly chat as well. On International Coffee Day we give a huge thanks and recognition to Scott and his crew at The Globetrotter Travelling Bar as well as Kenn and his team at Xtraction Espresso. You guys rule! And so does your coffee!

02.01.2022 JobKeeper 2.0 - beyond 27 September 2020. The JobKeeper scheme has now been officially extended by a further six months to 28 March 2021, replacing the current $1,500 a fortnight payment with a new two-tier payment rate from 28 September 2020. There are changes to the eligibility criteria, which will initially require businesses to show an actual decline in turnover for the September quarter alone. Likewise, from 4 January 2021, businesses will need to demonstrate a decline... in turnover for the December 2020 quarter. There will also be a change for the start date for employees, with those hired as of 1 July to be eligible for JobKeeper from 3 August. The drop from the current rate of $1,500 per fortnight to two tiers of payments of $1,200 for full-time workers, and $750 for those working less than 20 hours per week, will also come into effect from 28 September 2020.
