20.01.2022 Pacific Crown Helicopters (PCH) has recently taken delivery of a brand new Airbus Helicopters H130 which will undergo a full completion at our facility before being delivered to its new Australian based buyer. One of the latest changes on the airframe involves the tailboom and fenestron. To provide additional reinforcement and strength in the junction leading to the Fenestron, the tailboom spacer which includes the horizontal stabiliser mount is now made of composite. Looking... at the second photo, the light beige coloured areas are made of composite materials and the darker green indicate a metallic (aluminium) construction. Additionally, the tail rotor drive shaft cover has increased in size to allow the fitment of an updated drive shaft which reduces the need for multiple drive shaft bearings, along with an updated heat shield.

The last 3 photos were taken of this machine at our old hangar in Caloundra back in 2008.
