16.01.2022 Season’s Greetings from Pacific ESI! We’d like to extend a huge thanks to all those clients, collaborators and potential future customers that we’ve been involved with over the course of the year. We've had an interesting year and we sincerely hope that you have too. May 2019 be bigger and better for us all. For a light-hearted Christmas from us, please enjoy the simulation of Santa moving at Mach 2.5. This #simulation was solved using #CFDFASTRAN and visualised in #CFDVIEW v...ia our in-house #HPC cluster by Jonathan Zhu, one of our summer interns from UNSW Engineering. He's visualised the flow using stream tubes and there are a number of shock-body interactions as well as wake recirculation regions behind the bluff bodies. All in all, not too bad a speed for a pair of reindeer, an elderly gentleman and a wooden sleigh . A high-resolution image is available at: https://tinyurl.com/yaodjkkn
