25.01.2022 To say that Angelo’s life has been one of adversity is no understatement. At just five months old, Angelo was diagnosed with polio. His parents however, were determined not to let this get in the way of him leading a normal life. During school, Angelo’s Principal offered to move his classrooms to the ground floor, allowing easier access. His father declined and said he will have to take shorter breaks to get to class on time. This ‘no special treatment’ approach set the stage... for Angelo’s upbringing and he felt no different to other kids growing up. Angelo worked for the Department of Community Services for 16 years. After experiencing burnout from his job, he took a short break and went on to work for a bank. Seeking a quieter lifestyle, Angelo and his partner Jillian decided to relocate to the Central Coast but their hopes for a calmer life did not go to plan when they found themselves homeless. After living in a van and moving from place to place, Angelo and Jillian were offered a home with Pacific Link Housing. With Angelo now wheelchair-bound, the couple feel unbelievably lucky to be in an accessible unit located close to their large family of seven children and 16 grandchildren!

With a stable and secure home, young people can focus on their future and follow their dreams, but tonight around 28,000 young Australians aged 12-24 years are homeless. #yhmday #yhmd #yhmd2021 #EverybodysHome

14.01.2022 We are looking forward to continuing our work in 2021 to increase the much needed supply of affordable housing on the Peninsula. This is vitally important for the Central Coast region as the current supply of social and affordable housing only meets 31% of the demand.
11.01.2022 According to a recent study measuring the economic fallout of COVID-19, NSW will be the hardest hit with a predicted 19.1% rise in homelessness and a rise of 41.9% in housing stress. #housingstress #homelessness #everybodyshome
09.01.2022 Pacific Link provides new beginnings to tenants so they can overcome challenges and build a brighter future. "Thank you for giving me the opportunity for my very first place to stay in. I feel like I really couldn't have done it without you."
08.01.2022 Since becoming Pacific Link Housing tenants we have been treated with respect and as a person, not a number. We have peace of mind and always treat the properties like our own home.
05.01.2022 It was great to catch up with some of our tenants for a special BBQ lunch today. Thanks to Coast Shelter, Neami National, Health on The Streets (HoTS) from Coast & Country Primary Care, Central Coast Health and Liesl Tesch MP for coming along!
