19.01.2022 Well that was a complete whirlwind of a weekend! I wish I could post photos of the wonderful people who made their way to the heart of the Valley to have lunch and wine and space at our little part of the world, but it was all hands on deck and there was no time for beautiful Instagram worthy moments.... We apologise if you showed up and we were out of food - we really had no idea how this new phase would go... but it's come through loud and clear that everyone just wants to... be "normal" again! We do need to reiterate, there will no longer be a breakfast service...our new opening time is 11am. Our business focus was always meant to be on our wine so we now offer lighter options for lunch so you can enjoy our wines with a bit of share food and the menu will change from week to week to keep things interesting :) Our website is up and running should you wish to do an online wine purchase after your visit here. We look forward to welcoming you to The Packing Shed @ Lawnbrook and for those of you who know us well...thanks for hanging around and supporting us through this very strange old time we know as Corona....

We are fully booked for Sunday as we are working off limited indoor seating thanks to the rain which has been forecast. Wine tastings are available if you do want to pop in and grab a bottle or two for that last minute Father's Day present ;)

Quite often we meet people who had "no idea" that the region even existed! Some recent survey responses indicated that many people gravitate towards Margaret River or the Swan Valley and are largely unaware that this area is less than 30 minutes from the CBD and that there are so many diverse wines created in the Perth Hills. So, if you've been up here before, then spread the word...and if not, then #wanderoutyonder and pay us a visit. Just be sure to leave room in the car for your wine purchases ;)

14.01.2022 Stage 3 is coming! Well, we made it through the last 2 weekends with Stage 2 guidelines in place...thanks to those of you who visited and were understanding of the restrictions we had in place. From Saturday (6th June), the numbers have been lifted enough for us to be able to work without 2 sitting times or having to watch like a hawk if there are more than 20 people on the property at any one time, although we will still be maintaining social distancing rules so indoor sea...ting might be in short supply on a rainy day! Our NEW opening hours are Saturdays & Sundays 11am until 3pm. Please note that we no longer offer a breakfast service. Our reduced menu will change from week to week and will offer light, country style share items, and gourmet cheese platters. We will still have our favourite little picky platters for the kids as well as homemade cakes and Bolt Coffee. Cellar Door Sales will be available during our opening hours or by appointment at other times in the week. Currently, you must be seated at a table to be able to do wine tastings so we'd recommend booking these in so we can guarantee a table for you. We are not sure when this particular restriction will be lifted but you are not required to have food with your wine now. Of course, we would ask that you are still mindful of physical distancing, keep up with the sanitiser, keep an eye on the kids, and enjoy but please respect our property. 09.01.2022 **SUMMER SOUNDS SUNDOWNER POSTPONED** We hate to be the bearers of bad news but in the interests of not being cold and wet, we've had to postpone the Sundowner which was set to take place this Friday evening. We have confirmation that the new date will be Friday 18th December so be sure to come along and enjoy the evening (last day of school term so no better excuse than to relax with music and wine) in what we hope will be warm and balmy weather.

When there are large tables who simply don't show up, it has quite an impact on us. One third of our capacity didn't show up today - no text or call to explain. It's not a lot to ask and we hate having to bring it up but we are all still working to Phase 4 restrictions and it is just good manners.

There is an app called SafeWA which is available for free and will make things a little quicker when you arrive as you'll simply need to scan the QR code we have for our venue. Records are kept for 28 days. Please help us out by using the app however if you're not keen to do so, we will have a paper register on our counter which can be filled in the old fashioned way.
