24.01.2022 2020 program for Packsaddle Gymkhana/ Bikekhana
24.01.2022 Happy Easter from the Packsaddle Progress association committee We are so disappointed that our event couldn’t go ahead this weekend Just wishing you all stay safe and healthy so we can all make up for it next year If we can’t go ahead with the date change in June we could still possibly hold a fun event later in the year (when and if it’s safe) so you can all check out our great updated facilities and have some much needed fun
23.01.2022 It’s official!! We are devastated and looking now at moving the Event to the long weekend in June (6 and 7th) Of course this will only apply if it’s safe to do so. Trying to stay very positive and optimistic in these crazy times. Stay safe everyone
22.01.2022 #ThrowbackThursday Found this old gem from 2009. It really was just the dedication from a great community and volunteers that has made this possible to for us to get to 10 years this year since the Gymkhana’s revival. As you can see it wasn’t much back then but we didn’t care. We just made it work. So proud of what we have achieved in the last 10 years Thankyou to everyone that has supported us along the way http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2009/11/13/2741832.htm
22.01.2022 Charli Smith will also be at Packsaddle Gymkhana doing her amazing photography.
22.01.2022 "Chase Lindsay playing in the puddles at Packsaddle, after one or the first decent rains in a very long time." This entry is titled 'Playing In The Puddles' and... has been entered into the Open Colour category. Give it a like to help it out in the People's Choice category. If you know someone who would appreciate the photo be sure to share it.

Our Kara Kar horsefloat that was stolen from Broken Hill 5 years ag...o, has been returned 10km west of the house at Calindary Station during the night last Saturday 13th June . Wheels have been removed on site. Have you seen it stored somewhere? Appears to have been kept undercover and relatively untouched. Please contact us if you have seen or heard anything at all. Please share as much as possible.
18.01.2022 UPDATE- We are fully aware of the current health situation. The latest news in is that the government ban on mass gatherings is for 500 or more people in a static (enclosed area) gathering which at the moment does not apply to our event. Of course our MAIN priority is people’s safety and we are already putting extra measures in place to make this event as safe as possible if it still goes ahead. There will be more information from the Government about this on Wednesday and we have have decided to wait a week before making the necessary decision to postpone (to the long weekend in June) cancel or continue Watch this space

10.01.2022 OUR FAMILY JOURNEY WITH DIPG This is our story so far with DIPG. TYLER ANTHONY LATHAM.... On the 16th of July we notice Tylers left eye had started to slightly turn inwards.A few weeks before that he had woken up twice in the middle of the night screaming that his head hurt so i gave him some panadol and rubbed hes head until he fell back to sleep.this was very unusal. So when I noticed that his eye was turning inwards (as a mothers instinct I knew something was not right.) So we made him an appointment to get hes eyes tested, off we went a few days later to get them tested everything seemed fine except for his eye turning inwards, the optometrist thought Tyler had strabismus and to wait 2 weeks to see a peadiatric optometrist. But we decided to make him a drs appointment which we got a few days later. The dr we seen was amazing and called the Bh hospital as soon as she seen tyler. We took Tyler up the hospital for the optometrist to check Tylers eyes out, there the decision was made for us to go to Adelaide the next morning for tyler to get a mri done. When we got to womens and Childens they checked Tylers eyes out again. The next day the decision was made for him to go and have the mri done.. Tyler handled all of this like the little champ hes is. On the 24th of July thats when our whole world was turned upside down and changed for the worst.Chris went in with tyler to get his mri done, while I waited in the room by myself. Tyler wasn't in there very long when someone came in and asked us to wait till his mri was done to go see the drs,I remember asking him so something has came back and he just said let's get this sorted asap. Thats when I knew something bad had showed up After finished with his mri we went back down to see thr drs thats when Tyler went really pale and started vomiting everywhere,he had a reaction to the dye from the mri(which scared the shit out of us)but thankfully he was fine. The drs watched tyler why me and chris went in to a room with 3 other drs.Thats when the dr told us she had some bad news, that Tylers mri scans had came back and he has been diagnosed with a brain tumor called DIPG. We both had no idea what that was or even meant. So we ask what do we do next? Thats when we got the devastating news that unfortunately there is very little that can be done and that this tumor is incurable. we felt sick to our stomachs, there had to be something, something to help our little man but unfortunately the only options givin where radiotherapy, which will only prolong his life for months. The pain we felt to hear that just shattered us in to a million pieces. We were told that if we where to choose to not do radiotherapy Tyler would only live for 3 months or under with radiotherapy he would between 6-9 months which is nowhere near enough time none of it is. We would do absolutely anything for our little man and the time we get to spend with him. We have been in Adelaide while Tyler receives his 30 treatments of radiotherapy and once again he has been a little champ.love him Friends and family had seen Matt Dun on sunrise who has gone threw a devastating journey recently himself with his little girl Matt Dun is a science researcher in DIPG cancer and matt and hes team have had a breakthrough with a combination of drugs, that are normally unavailable here in Australia, until the trial potentially kicks of early 2021.which we are trying really hard to get for tyler. There drugs are not a cure but could potentially double to triple our time with him. Alot of ppl have asked if we are doing a go fund me for Tyler but we would really appreciate it if everyone who wants to help coukd please donate to RUN DIPG CHARITY. We need get the word out there about DIPG,and raise some much needed awareness for these very unfortunate children All these funds will go directly into researching DIPG brain cancer and potentially finding a cure one day. I will share the RUN DIPG CHARITY link on my page after this. Please donate every little bit helps. Thanks aish and chris love u to the moon and back, little man

08.01.2022 It is with a sad heart that the Gymkhana committee have unanimously decided its best to cancel the Gymkhana/ Bikehana event for this year We were looking at a future date but it’s seems impossible.
