17.01.2022 So we’re doing a bit of a trial this week - no screen time The only thing they get is one episode of @officialblueytv in the evening #becauseblueyisthebest Maybe I’m a bit crazy doing this on school holidays, but I’m finding it’s actually been helping with their behaviour (which was the main reason we did it!) I’ve been putting out a few different resources for them to use, including our Rainbow Pebbles set, however most of the time it’s just their imaginations and what we... already have! So tell me, how does screen time work in your house? What have you found to work best? Let me know
09.01.2022 Fine Motor Challenge Week 2 Thank you so much to everyone that participated in the first week of the challenge! There were so many amazing activities focusing on threading. And now...... Our second prompt is...Squeeze! Here’s a reminder of what you need to do - Make sure you’re following @packsoffun Use your imagination and what you have to follow along with the prompt! It can be as fancy or as simple as you choose, so long as it is focusing on those ever important fine motor skills! Take a picture and post it to your grid. 03.01.2022 Some simple counting and 1:1 practise, using a few different items. We got out some bear counters, tens frame, and our @ellecollective_kids Number Dots. Then with my 4yo, he pulled out a number and had to count the correct number of bears onto the tens frame. Alternatives - make your own tens frame using paper or 10 spots in an egg carton; counters can be replaced with seeds, rocks or similar; and numbers can simply be written or said aloud! ...
