To celebrate #NAIDOC2020 (8-15 Nov) the Australian Institute of Sport 'Share a Yarn' initiative saw our Team Australia - Sprint/Slalom athletes come together with traditional landowners at the Gold Coast to celebrate and explore this year’s NAIDOC theme, Always Was, Always Will Be. Together with Triathlon Australia, our athletes shared a yarn with the traditional landowners to learn about the land in which their Daily Training Environment (DTE) e...xists, its history and significance, and to build relationships with the indigenous community in the region. 25.01.2022 Important Update on our 2021 Canoe Slalom Championships following the recommendations of our Paddle Australia Canoe Slalom Technical Committee (PACSLTC) the following decisions have been made: - to cancel the 2021 PA Canoe Slalom Championships, originally planned for 8th 10th January, Brady’s, Tasmania - to go ahead with the 2021 PA Canoe Slalom Age Championships as scheduled from 15th 17th January at Eildon, Victoria. ... This decision will need to be reassessed if travel restrictions or State border situations change/do not change as expected. Padle Australia and PACSLTC would like to thank both local organising committees for their commitment to assessing the viability of the respective competitions given the challenges brought in 2020.
