25.01.2022 A few wild beasts in the paddock today. Lots of horses - including a Mustang

24.01.2022 Post production is a tedious, time consuming necessity of photography and requires plenty of coffee....so I had a personalised mug made.

21.01.2022 Paddock Pix becomes Paddock Poems: John Lennon suggested it...Imagine. Image, for a moment, the world if humans were never here.... No buildings and no factories to polute the atmosphere. No cars, no trucks. No roads to drive them on. No planes or trains, no space ships, burning to beyond. No imported species, no animals where they werent invented. No need for humans to interfere. Nature as it was intended. No Brumbies nor no Mustangs, but horses roaming free... In their natural habitat, where ever that may be. See more

19.01.2022 Welcome all the new followers here. I havent been able to get out bush lately and have been preoccupied with #brumbylivesmatter. Hoping to get out and bring you some new pics soon. Check my website https://paddockpix.com.au.

17.01.2022 A pair of Crimson Rosellas tried to elude my lens.

17.01.2022 It was a foggy morn and the swamp was hosting many ducks and other bird live within its eeriness. These are the shots that light is unfriendly to.

16.01.2022 Whilst standing with Rafiki (our young part Brumby horse) he became fixated with something in the lower paddock. It took me a while to see what he was focused on...then I ran inside, grabbed my camera and back out across the paddock. These dinosaurs are amazing creatures. I actually witnessed one a few weeks ago being chased by a Cockatoo. Obviously protecting its nest from becoming lunch.

12.01.2022 "Brumbies of Barmah" books have arrived and will be distributed to a postie in the next few days. There is just one book left from this batch ready for delivery. I will place another order with sufficient orders. I must say I am very happy the results ... Go to https://paddock-pix.square.site/ to order a copy. Proceeds will be donated to Hoofs2010Incorporated to help with their Brumby rescues.

11.01.2022 Please support this Brumby rescue centre in their 10th year of giving wild Australian Brumbies a second chance of life.

10.01.2022 Merlo and Chaya on a play date at Waranga Basin. And a dolphin ring-in?

07.01.2022 An eerie dusty sky loomed over head.

06.01.2022 I started photography before digital cameras, my first 'serious' camera being fully manual with just a light meter to assist. While I do still own that film camera I have a lens adaptor to enable me to use the two prime lenses - 50mm and 200mm - with my digital camera. What this does is force my digital camera into manual mode as the lenses have no electronics - no aperture control, no auto focus, no zoom, no light measures - nothing. I love the old lenses and the total control it gives me, but also the lessons I am relearning. I am still a little bit too light but getting there...

04.01.2022 A friend has written an article for an American equine magazine. Hopefully it gets published. Here are a few images I gave her to use from my Barmah Brumby gallery. Theres plenty more at http://paddockpix.com.au...

04.01.2022 What could possibly be in the box? Ten more Brumbies of Barmah coffee table books being sent to their lucky rehomers. If you have ordered a copy recently, keep watch for your Brumby delivery over the next week.

03.01.2022 A couple of Kookaburras during our morning coffee.
